MY favorite purchase of 2011 hands down.... I just ordered BB just on the fact of how cool this prime is..hahah..

So for you guys curious what I am doing with them... This one is for a client that LOVES shinny tfs in bot mode....

I will be doing mine a little more battle damaged, when i get time to get to it.. I am going to order another one just to have because they are that cool..maybe a nemesis version...

As for compared to a gundam...if it wasn't for the skeleton being assembled, I would say it is right on par with a master grade.

Dude come on. In the first one he was kicking prime's ass. He seemed like a villian to fear. In the second one optimus prime is like some unstopbale juggernaut and take's on three decepticon's including megatron and he barly lays a hit on optimus except from the behind. I mean just becuase he got repaired how on earth does that make him weaker. it's quit sad that the hero is way more lethal then the villian and that was my only beef with these movie's.

Hmm...seems theres just no pleasing some. Int he first movie people complained because prime was too weak and got his ass handed to him by megatron, in rotf people complained because prime kicked ass like we all wanted him too.

Forgot to ask... Have you done the Darkside of the Moon Prime Leader yet?

I am working on a rotf leader prime which i have re-tooled to look like dotm prime, and he has a trailer and everything.

Wow that looks amazing already. I would have painted the plastic parts after snapping them off the tree though cos now you'll have to go over them all again and touch up the bits where they broke off.

Sure does, the only real question mark for me now is what the quality of the plastic and the joints are like.

I also hope TFC have been deliberately been holding back on releasing images of Bonecrusher and Mixmaster and that they'll be revealed in the instruction manual for Scavenger.

Yeah, me too. I thought I read that previous TFC releases have had good quality, though.

I am just about done my DMK Prime, have to search for the bigger piece of the swivel joint to one of his doors though,frickin thing went pissing across the room when i decided to remove it as i was debating gluing it in.

Pretty amazing kit,glad i picked it up.

For me, it's more cartoon and artwork released to promote the toys primarily. If I wanted accuracy to the toys, then I would just stick with the original figures I never read much of the comic as a kid, so that doesn't matter to me so much. I'm also OK with a mix, but the TFC version seems to be more of the "take the spirit of G1 and create a whole new thing" rather than trying to be all that accurate to the old cartoon, toy, comic, or whatever. The head is a major concern for me, as that's gonna be a focal point of the character and can make or break a likeness in Transformers just like in Hot Toys or anything else. Having said that, we still haven't seen the final product painted up, and maybe that will help to change my mind.

Got to be very carefull with this kit actually,especially with the mirrors on the doors and when applying the headlights to the torso,hell the whole chest assembly could use some glue in certain areas.

Which Leader class sized Optimus prime's was made this year?

I am considering the DMK but i want to see what other options i have,ive seen the Jetwing Prime but is that the only option in that size?

I wanted ironhide Leader class but the choice of colour on those legs really ruined it for me.

yeah dude..at this point the jetwing prime is the only option.....

The DMK is rather awesome...and so is Irhonhide... I wouldn't be surprised if we see a "premium" ironhide down the road though..

I've put my heart, soul and a lot of blood sweat and tears into that thing (quite literally at times) so im glad it shows through and so many like it. I've had so much good feedback on him its been overwhelming.
Just be patient with me cos due to health issues i tend to take quite a while to crank out new customs but im doing my best.

Jetwing Prime is all there is at the moment. There has been a leaked pic of a DOTM buster prime style leader toy but no other information is out yet as far as i know.
You cant go wrong with the ROTF Buster Prime though, or even a repaint of the ROTF leader.
Theres plenty around who would be willing to do any painting you might need, theres Encline on here but i think he's closed to commissions at the moment and theres of course myself.

ROTF/Buster Prime is nice but i absolutely hate his huge back as you fold all those smaller part behind his back and it doesn't look good,so i doubt any repaint would save that.Unless i can remove some of those parts,and i can't remember if the big battery is the reason either,i don't have it anymore so i don't remember.

I would suggest to anyone who wants the best of both to have this Prime next to a transformed Buster for an amazing set up.
