and he had an energon blade built into his arms that makes mush out of alien metals like decepticon faces.

but for some reason can't cut through metal cables held taught by his own weight. go figure.
:lol

They didnt surrender they got overwhelmed and captured. Prime was tangled in high-tensile steel cables suspended 100's of feet in the air.

You make it much more exciting than it was, you guys must have 4D in the UK. :lol

edit: Dubz just used the old Ewok defense.

I can say the same thing about you guys. I certainly had no problems with what happened, it was obvious they were out numbered right from the start. 9 Autobots vs a fleet of Cons...not sure what the issue is here....

:dump Heres an issue for you... There was to much wrong with TF3 to point my finger at... :lecture

especially freaking megatron. What the hell happened when he was under the sea anyway. Did all his strength get sucked away ? I mean what a fearful leader he was.

What exactly did he fear? He was beat up and weak thats for sure, missing half your head and being made up of spare limbs from weaker transformers would do that to ya, but i didnt see him fear anything during any of the movies.
His partnership with the fallen was a bit odd, though.

I have no real issue, it's just you make it sound like there was more of a clearer explanation going than what actually happened in the film. Dubz you pretty much came up with that by filling in the gaps...but I'll give you an A for effort.

What about his partnership with Sentinel Prime??? The key word being Prime... Megatron hates all Primes...

I...i really dont understand how anyone else couldnt have figured that out themselves....this baffles me.
Really it seems like some people need or want a descriptive audio track to go with movies to figure them out sometimes. :dunno

That statement just proves you obviously didnt listen to the plot of the movie or any of the dialogue scenes.
Really, it was very simple and all explained in full during the movie.
This is so ironic because people blasted the last two for being too simple and now it seems people are blasting them for being too complex? :rotfl

And i really dont care what you think so why cant you just accept that some people liked it and stop trying to ruin it for them?

I think TF3 had enough problems that if someone wanted to harp on them there's quite a bit of material. But at the end of the day you could criticize the Star Wars films just as easily.

Why did the Death Star have to orbit Yavin? Just blow it up then blow up the moon the rebel base is on. Movie over.

Why did the snowspeeders all fly right into the AT-AT's faces? Don't they know that's the ONLY place that all the guns are? Just circle around from behind and harpoon them all.

Why did the Battle Droids take Jar Jar and the gungans prisoner? Didn't Sidious specifically order them to "Wipe them out, ALL of them?"

Why did the Jedi not send 50 knights to Naboo to take out Darth Maul?

And so on and so on and so on.

If these are the things you nitpick about summer popcorn fare then you're going to be at it for a very long time. They aren't perfect airtight stories.

I like Optimus Prime and the autobots and like seeing them kick ass on the decepticons. I wish the movie wasn't so bloody LOOONG but on some levels it truly delivered and others wll, yeah, not so much. But that's Bay for you.

Prime said it was time to take the fight to them. They knew they were outnumbered and they also knew the stakes in this battle but instead of fighting to the bitter end, they just decide to give up?

That makes zero sense.

They gave up and surrendered, plain and simple. Even the other guys at work remember hearing it mentioned they had surrendered during that scene.

Even the rest of the scene with the bad human guy ordering Soundwave to not take prisoners and kill them didn't make sense.

it's pretty easy to understand why the autobots matched up well against many Decepticons. first off, in chicago, there weren't hundreds of cons, just a couple dozen. Most of them were soldier rank, generic, drones. The autobots were high ranked veterans.

Its true, the autobots surrendering made no sense. And it made even LESS sense that Bumblebee would just sit there waiting to die after his hairy friend got blown away. Go out in a blaze of glory you fool! It was still cool to watch him kick ass when he finally pulled his head out though. :D
