Yeah her robutt-tig ol' bitties kind of look weird. Throws the design off. I am curious though, Perfect Effect is pretty solid.

I never owned animated Arcee but all of the other versions I've seen have been pretty bad, or at the very least outrageously overpriced for their quality/complexity.

Not at all. I really do think it's too stylized, and now we've seen that it actually has less movement in the legs, knees and hands. It doesn't have anything better in terms of the other articulation points, as far as I can tell.

The only thing I can see here is that it looks more like the current comic book depictions, so in that sense, it really just comes down to personal preference. I prefer the more cartoon accurate looking MP-01 design; personally, I think Faith Leader is the best incarnation, as it fits better with MP Grimlock, the Seekers, and CHUG Autobots. This is still too big.

IMO, neither of the MP Optimus Primes look as cartoon accurate as MP-09 Rodimus did for that character. Each figure has some areas where it is more accurate. I do think that MP-10 has a more accurate head (except that the mouthpiece is traditionally an inverted V at the top in the cartoon) as MP-01's head was probably the weakest sculpting part of that version. However, MP-01 seems to have legs that look more accurate.

Overall, I think that MP-10 looks nicer than MP-01 as he doesn't look as boxy and there aren't as many gaps in between parts. Plus, he is scaled better and from what I hear, is very sturdy. Additionally, he has a neck. More robot figures should have necks

This is true. I mean, I wouldn't want it to be COMPLETELY cartoon accurate, as we wouldn't get all the nicely sculpted detail and realistic pain, if that was the case. I was mainly talking about the proportions.

You're probably right. I just wish they had scaled Rodimus down a little bit, so he fit in with Grimlock better.

Well, like I said, the "boxy" look looks more accurate to me, but it's all a matter of personal preference. He is scaled better, but Faith Leader is scaled EVEN BETTER if you want him to go with MP Grimlock and the Seekers, plus he won't tower quite so much over the CHUG Autobots. I stand by my choice!

iGear even has an anime-style head option if you want to switch it up, both for the Faith Leader and the upsized MP-01/20th Anniversary original, but I like the "normal" head, myself.

I recieved the 3rd volume of the IDW Spotlight compilations this morning and here's a few thoughts,

Blaster's story is great but I don't like how his head is drawn as it makes him look like he's got a moustache.

Psycho Tranny Arcee is awesome!

The artist responsible for Grimlock's story should have his hands cut off. My favorite character looks ****

I liked the Mirage story once I realised it was all meant to be a dream....too bad Grimlock's artwork wasn't.

I just find that losing the ability to transform looses the appeal of the TF in the first place. Just my opinion.

my dMK 01 is out for delivery! got my pincers/cutters from ebay ready and off to games workshop tomorrow to get a modelling cutter/scapel! 15 trees with hundreds of parts,japanese instructions and years since ive put something like this together! could spell trouble for me attempting to build it?! haha

ive seen quite few on ebay-some not much more expensive than what ive paid for mine which isnt bad considering it would come from asia! so i would have happily gone the ebay route! have had no problems in the past with amazon unicron coming from hong kong via ebay!

I like the way the headsculpt is painted on Generations WJ better than the United one as they left the ears as clear plastic so the light piping effect still works.

The green is also more cartoon accurate although I prefer the metallic shade of the United one ( I have both as I couldn't decide which one I liked best. )
