The new MP Starscream would cost me about the same as it costs for 3 iGear Seekers so it's an easy pass.

EDIT,
Color protos of iGears Brawn, Cosmos and Sharkticon!

Holy crap, Brawn was the one and only pathetic little TF I ever owned as a child. How can I resist? :lol

I'd be more excited about Brawn if Ratchet and Ironhide would come out already. But whatevs, he's bought when he hits. I read some of the complaining about the shoulders on TFW. It's like people immediately search for any shortcoming to pin their "dealbreaker" comment to. :lol

Wish IGear would rerelease the computer station. I held off for BBTS clearance and then then forgot to check BBTS clearance. :slap

TFW is no different than here, hell might even be better. :lol And yeah it was on clearance.

Lurker, ok spill it. Are you into TFormers or what? :dunno

Longtime fan of the movie (1986 original), even paid a pretty penny in the 90's for the Japanese laserdisc since that was the only way to get it in widescreen at the time.

I've never been really impressed with the toys though. I just couldn't get around the fact that the robot modes of the vintage line looked nothing like their cartoon counterparts. Now that my daughter spends a fair amount of time watching TF Prime and Rescue Bots I'm being drawn to the fact that finally they seem to be able to make toys properly based off their animated likenesses.

I wish there were high end options available though. It seems you either pay for a cheap plastic toy or thousands for a statue of a Bayformer Optimus with nothing in between.

The Masterpiece line is closest thing out there to a "high end" non-statue equivalent in my opinion. The Masterpiece Prime figures were mostly metal. There are also Binaltechs (Japanese versions of the Alternators) that are really complex figures and were also die cast.

If it was an official product it would never get held to anything like the same amount of scrutiny so I had a chuckle at some of the comments.

The shoulder articulation could have been better but I look at it this way,

1.The picture says "prototype only, final may vary". With iGear's release dates it's quite possible that the shoulders could be improved by the time it ships.

2.Hasbro's next figure of Brawn will be made from the Prime Bulkhead mold with a new head stuck on it :cuckoo:

Even funnier is the level of paranoia that some of the complainers have about the QC issues on the TFC Constructicons, all the talk of "lubing up" the joints just sounds....wrong :lol

soundwave,
No problem! :)

:lol It's cool man, I am just busting your balls. Jump right in, it's a GREAT time to be a Transformers fan. :wave

:lecture I think I want that new MP Starscream, it's pretty boss. Also BT are things of beauty.

Everybody on that thing got hit harder on the series without going all probe-droid. I smell a Decepti-rat!

Poor old Wheeljack and Windcharger didn't even get a smoke-barf scene. RIP, offscreen casualties. :(

I kinda hate that movie. :lol

I think that with the release of MP-12 Sideswipe, the Binaltech line is coming back...in a way. I think his scale will be in line with the BT line of cars (aprox 1/24). Unfortunately no die-cast, but at least the alt mode will be real licensed cars from the 1980s. This is what I wish anyways:pray:

Yeah, the arbitrary killing of old toys, er, characters in that movie were lame. Particularly when you've got a major character from the show like Ironhide, who was always so tough and bad-ass, look like a completely useless pantywaist in the animated movie. Decepticons were all expert marksmen in that shuttle, and later on didn't even die when Prime shot them/ran them over/etc., while the Autobots couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and went down like bowling pins.

Oh well helps me catch up on some older figs I've been trying to get and the new MP Starscream. Is anyone else here planning on getting him?

I've been back and forth for a while now on MP-11, but finally put in a pre-order the other day.

I feel like maybe I should have waited for a US version... but geez, we haven't heard anything about MP-10. Who knows if this will ever come, given the widespread clearance of Skywarp?

Anyway, looking forward to getting him. Will probably be selling off my Walmart version once he gets here.

Yeah... but it does look better I think.

I kind of just ignore all that... or pretend they got rebuilt at some point later on (yes, I know all about that season 3 episode with the ship with all the dead Autobots on it, too!).

Not a fan of the Shattered Glass stuff, but that is one nice looking figure!

I've still got to get a regular Drift... Sort of waiting for a good deal on the United version to pop up. You never know!
