Wreck 'N Rule!

iGear's Impactor is gonna look soooo good with these two!

What TF is this? (Not Warbot - the other guy.)

Man, I gotta order Last Stand of the Wreckers and see what the fuss is about... :)

It's a CM Corporation Mugen Calibur.

The original version of the toy was licensed by Hasbro to make G1 Roadbuster as the success of Transformers meant they'd run out of old Diaclone molds to use.

This version was released a few years ago and has improved articulation, diecast, rubber tyres and a lot of nice detail.

That said it's not without issues, the articulation isn't as good as a typical TF, some of the weapons are a bit fragile and the covers for the wheels in robot mode don't fit as tightly as they really should so I'm glad I didn't pay the release price of $200-$300.

For around £60 though it's decent and there's no proper G1 style Roadbuster in the various Classic lines so I'm happy enough with it.

Well, I don't want to talk it up too much but yeah it's pretty solid.

Yeah, it's very good - really the only modern TF comic that I genuinely enjoyed - but IMO it's been a bit over-hyped as a classic. But DEFINITELY worth reading.

Ive found CM Corp's quality to be a little flakey. They get designs translated to 3d quite well, but always lacking in materials, construction, or articulation. Sort of like Banpresto. Excellent work though!

Very nice! Still have to find one - I don't think they've hit Canada yet though...

[obligatory voyager complaint]Still need a voyager announcement for this guy.[/obligatory voyager complaint]

It's the only one of their products I own so I can't really say but I don;t really repose my TF's much so it does a more than adequate job of filling the Roadbuster sized gap in my collection.

I'd be intrested if they did a similar update of the toy that became G1 Whirl as it'd be another Wrecker to add to the lineup.

iGear showed headsculpts for Pyro,Ironfist, Rotorstorm & Guzzle a while back so I'm hoping they eventually make body molds for them all as it'd be great to have the LSOTW cast.

Speaking of LSOTW I'm going to get the hardcover edition this week as it's got quite a bit of new stuff in it.

I still can't decide on AHM though I'm very tempted as the hardcover edition has the last few Spotlights in it.

Looks like iGear's UFO and Hench are up for preorder - $34 each this time around, presumably since they're much bigger.

Not a bad price though. I just need to get some money in my Paypal account, since friggin' Deak convinced me to buy TFCC Over-Run (for $95 shipped!) with all his nice pictures. :)

I think that's a decent price, I'm gonna wait until my other orders arrive first before ordering though.

There's supposed to be some sort of update on Ironhide & Ratchet this month and my 4 Seekers and weapons set should be here this week as my past orders from iGear have taken around a fortnight.

jin satome ( custom toy maker) has just made himself the most hated person in transformers fandom . He's been leading a crussade against 3rd party transformers for a while. He sucseeded in getting them banned from Botcon.

and today, this happend
>We have received word that artists that booked an artist alley table for BotCon 2012 are now being told that any fan art that may infrige on Hasbro's intellectual property or trademarks can not be sold at BotCon.

Those of you who make and sell custom figures on E-bay, BE CAREFUL, If they're going after artists now, toy customizeres are probably next.

That crusade could backfire as if customisers get targeted he'll essentially be shooting himself in the foot :lol

He's had that brought to his attention several times his defense is usually
"i'm a customizer, iv'e already paid hasbro for the parts i use"

Somehow I don't think that would cut much ice with Has/Tak's legal department if they do drop the hammer on customisers.

Whilst it would be amusing to see arseholes like Jin and a couple of the other customisers with oversized egos get brought down I would feel for the nicer guys in the community if their ability to share their art was restricted as the majority of them are decent enough and don't act like they're above everyone else.

Some kind of response to 3rd party toys was inevitable after last year's Botcon when they blew away what official offerings were shown but I wonder where the line will ultimately be drawn....will they even put a stop to Reprolabels even though most of their stuff is for official products?

I think it's a shame that such a great event for fans from all areas of the TF community will eventually be reduced to a bland, corporate friendly affair where the official company line will be espoused at all times....and all because of the actions of a few white knights on an ego trip.
