Good to know,im interested in that one too.Green Giant may look better as a toy,but Hercules is WAY MORE cartoon accurate.
Ive considered Green Giant too because it is a damn nice toy,but that's all it would be for me if i got it,it simply doesn't look like Devastator at all imo.

Giant looks OK fully combined but the individual Constructicons look awful,

Herc is great as the big guy or split into 6.

Depends where you're reading the complaints. If it's at TFW2005 I would take any complaints about Herc with a pinch of salt because as long as you take due care there's really no need for lubing the joints, making unecessary mods or whatever else the more paranoid paticipants of that thread keep claiming needs to be done to "fix" it.

The same people are probably suggesting the same things are happening on the first 2 TFC Aerialbots even though they aren't out yet

Congrats! I take it you got Sideswipe from Kapow Toys?

I sent a message of thanks to Andy and he said that he didn't announce it on the website as he wasn't 100% sure his supplier would be able to get them until his stock actually arrived.

Glad you like it and that you got it early....Kapow Toys treat their customers well and it's why I tend to buy virtually all my TF's through them.

No idea on Rodimus, fortunately the character isn't one I'm bothered about so the anomaly with his scale isn't an issue.

Sideswipe is pretty much the exact scale I was hoping for

It's the WFC version as opposed to G1 which is slightly offputting but it's looking impressive all the same especially the scale....it's crushing that crappy FoC Bruticus in ONE FREAKIN' HAND!

I expect a very high pricetag but it'd be great to have it displayed fighting Devastator!

Finally got my MP Sideswipe! What an excellent 80's G1 throwback. I would have liked him to be a little bit larger but he's def awesome as is.

I didn't like it in comparison to the Fans Toys design and still don't....but I want all Takara's tapes so I'll have to get it for Laserbeak.

My only real issue is an aesthetic one as the feet are too different from the G1 toy for my liking ( they are cartoon accurate though ) but I expect I'll get used to that after a while.

Whilst we're on the subject of Masterpieces here are the 2 most overasked questions I see on various forums,

1."When is the Sunstreaker repaint/retool of Sideswipe being released?"!

My answer = "G1 Sideswipe's chest is made up from the same part of the car as G1 Sunstreaker's FEET....any kind of retool with an accurate Sunstreaker as the end result simply isn't possible ".

2."As Lamborghini are owned by the VW Group does this mean MP Bumblebee and Jazz are sure to be made?

My answer = "Yes, but only if the VW Group, the rest of the population of Germany and a good part of the rest of the world suddenly stop associating VW & Porsche with Jolly Old Adolf and his mischievous bunch of scoundrels from the 1930's."

blaster repaint of MP Soundwave will surely come soon as they are very similar figures-diffrent headsculpt and details etc but both i assume would transform the same! with steel jaw and ramhorn tapes hopefully!

Any repaint of Soundwave will be Soundblaster, not Blaster....they're 2 different characters.

Blaster was the Autobot boombox, Soundblaster was the "reborn" Soundwave who looked basically the same except for being black instead of blue.

Soundwave, Soundblaster and Blaster share the same FoC mold but that's a mass market line where such half assing is the norm.

Now that Takara are bringing their "A" game to the Masterpiece line I think that if a character had a unique mold in G1, they'll get one in MP form.
