Any repaint of Soundwave will be Soundblaster, not Blaster....they're 2 different characters.

Blaster was the Autobot boombox, Soundblaster was the "reborn" Soundwave who looked basically the same except for being black instead of blue.

Soundwave, Soundblaster and Blaster share the same FoC mold but that's a mass market line where such half assing is the norm.

Now that Takara are bringing their "A" game to the Masterpiece line I think that if a character had a unique mold in G1, they'll get one in MP form.

With Takara on top of things now I think the Masterpiece line is gonna pump out a lot of new molds.

I Got my MP Sidey today and couldn't be happier.
I didn't get my collectors coin, which was a shame. I'm not normally bothered about such things, but it's Sidey.......I guess I'll just pick one up of Ebay at some point.

The figure itself is fantastic though and the paint job on mine is spot on. I was a little worried as I heard some were a bit shoddy. He scales perfectly with the I-gear figs, and I have finally relented and ordered an MP 10 as having transformers actually in scale (gasp) is just to cool.

I was also pleasently surprised by the eyes. My preference is for them to be chromed (Like MP1, Megs and Grimlock) as it gives them a bit more "life", but they have used a slightly matalic paint which works really well. I also love the expression as it really fits the character.

I am so happy with this guy (although I am biased) and he is right up there with Grimmy and MP1 as one of my fave transformers full stop. For now he is king of the shelf, until TakTom make his psychotic twin that is

I'm going to get another Sideswipe to keep in alt mode at some point and if Takara do an eHobby version in G2 colors I'll probably get 2 of those as well, the MP12 mold is as good as Transformers get.

I just scored the TRU Exclusive Masterpiece Rodimus Prime.
My first masterpiece and I just grabbed it, since it was such a great price and to great an oppurtunity to pass up on.

Love the details and the whole G1 recreation and I really see Hot Rod from the old Movie, gotta watch it today and will try one more time to transform him properly.
Cause, as...I think Hound was it in IDW G1 Comics, the transformation "is a real pain in the postular plating".
