I will readily admit that I can be a large hypocrite sometimes

I'm even weakening a bit on MP11 as I'd like a Starscream that stands out a bit more than the iGear one in robot mode....the grey that Takara used is the closest to the G1 toy yet and I like the idea of the Decepticon Air Commander looking slightly different to his grunts.

One thing I won't change my mind on is MP10 as an alternative Prime or replacement for Faith Leader.

Ultra Magnus will be considered if the armor is good enough to cover up the ugliness of the mold underneath.

You know I thought the exact same as you about Screamer and MP10. For months I went back and forth between buying Igear Traitor and Mp11. I was kinda turned off by the fact that Takara didnt include the stand and skipped on some of the detail that the other seeker molds had. And on the other hand I felt that Traitor just looked cheaper,more generic than even Mp11. So I went with MP 11 and so glad I did. He is so awesome in hand and with his cape,crown, new headsculpt and G1 coloring, he is truly worth it. So much so that if Hasbro releases him Ive got to get another one. Im willing to bet that if you had both in hand you'd dump Traitor in a heartbeat.

And then there is MP10! I HATED him forever. There was no way Id pay $250 for a "monkey prime" lol. I was just fine with my faith leader and Mp01 last shot. Well when I heard Hasbro was gonna release him for $100, I thought I would give him a shot. Mainly because his Alt mode is straight out of the cartoon perfect. Another case of glad I did. In hand he doesnt look nearly as monkeyish lol. I never extend his upper arms which makes a huge difference IMO. Will he replace my other primes?,no way. But he is an excellent edition to my growing MP collection. Ended up buying two of him too! Anyways just some food for thought.

Got my Sideswipe and brawn today. Love the figures, but Sideswipe did come with some QC issues.
Brawn was assembled wrong, the hips were backwards making him tip back.
I twisted the hip and popped the legs back on correctly. He now stands like a rock!

Pricing can often play a part in my decisions....us Brits don't usually get the option to buy something like MP10 for $100.

If it even gets released here at TRU it'll be £100 which is the equivalent of about $160.

After my QC nightmare with the Hasbro releases of MP01 there's no way I'll consider buying a Hasbro Masterpiece again which means importing the Takara one for a minimum of between £150-£200 plus international shipping and possible customs charges.

Which would be fine if I thought it was better than Faith Leader but as that's not the case it's an easy pass.

When MP11 was first announced I wasn't intrested because I didn't think the mold should have been made as the Masterpiece line badly needed some all new characters.

I was also virtually 3rd party only and 9 times out of 10 would ignore an official product in favor of a 3rd party one because for the most part they were making the stuff I wanted so they took priority.

Takara's announcements from MP12 onwards have changed that stance somewhat.

I still favor 3rd parties but MP12-16 have shown what Takara are capable of when they're in the zone and I hope they maintain that.

If I do decide to get MP11 the iGear Starscream will be resold to raise some of the cash towards it and I'll keep Skywarp & Thundercracker at least until Takara decide to make their own versions.

a great last and next few months for G1 TF fans in terms of collecting! MP thundercracker and sidewipe in the house! TFC DEVVYHERC with rage kit out for delivery, TRU optimus prime in the next few weeks,soundwave and red alert in december! no regrets in selling all my hot toys for an all G1 detolf display! TF's more important to me!

got my first igear figure this week...traitor. he is nice and i am actually impressed. transformation is pretty smooth and he stays together in bot mode. sideswipe is next on my list to pick up.
