So, my point is, MP-10 didn't really go up much at all, if anything. You could probably still get him for $220 or so before shipping, if you were patient. :)

I could see MP Soundwave going for about $200. Maybe more if Hasbro never ends up releasing a version.

Completely out of left field.

Am I the only one who wants to see IGear make a Shattered glass Soundwave from Their ironhide/ratchet mold?

Nice, tats coming along good soundwave! Just put in another preorder for a second MP Soundwave. Preorders are drying up at all the usual TF online stores. Best get on him soon if ya want to lock him in for retail, I can see him going for more than Takara MP10 in a little over a years time, although we will probably see a Hasbro version by then. Good luck!

Thanks man :)

Soundwave = Superior! :clap

I'm considering selling my iGear Coneheads to help pay for HT's Iron Monger. Based on current ebay prices I should raise most of the cash by doing so.

Lol :rotfl

Not don't sell them...unless it's to me for a super cheap price :pray::pray: :1-1:

Honestly Iron Monger will be there for a bit...don't sell them you'll never get them back if you do & with the collection you have it would be a crying shame to not have them in the display.

Please don't do it.
Hot Toys have nothing on the Coneheads IMO & I'm gutted I never ever got them myself :monkey2:monkey2

I wouldn't buy one myself but it would be a nice way for iGear to get a bit more use from the mold and the proceeds could then be redirected towards something else.....like putting Impactor into production.

DPrime, soundwave,
You're probably right, I do have another possible option for getting the cash together for Iron Monger ( reselling a couple of other HT figures ) so I'll likely look into that first.

Of course we are ;) lol

Definitely part the Hot Toys figures out before you get rid of the Coneheads.

I should be able to raise at least £350 from the Hot Toys figures ( DX Bruce Lee with an extra body and regular War Machine ) so I think the Coneheads are probably safe.

I've just ordered MP-11 from a Hong Kong based seller for a few pence under £120 so with a bit of luck I should recieve it before Christmas....it'll help make up for the delay to MP Soundwave.

I see your point DPrime. And I believe part of that was he was already at the higher price range of most TF toys. And also with the rumors of a cheaper Hasbro version in the works for sure, most people wanted to wait it out to get him cheaper. Based off of other MP's, I think he will steadily go up in price, maybe not as much since Hasbros MP10 was on par and to some a step above Takaras.

As for Soundwave he is already costing me $185 shipped to the US. So $250+ for him doesnt seem like too much of a stretch, especially if Hasbro doesnt release him. I base this off of there never being a Soundwave figure(since G1) that has done G1 Soundwave justice. Alot of peeps want this guy and with his supporting cast of kickass tapes,I just see him increasing in price faster over time and becoming that "must have" figure. Just a feeling Ive had as Ive seen many like myself flip **** when he was announced. In fact the only other figure that I can think of that has caused sooo much hype lately is the reiissued Fort Max. Dunno guess we will see what the future holds....

Ugh, no thanks.

But I wouldn't be gutted if they did, by any means. There ARE Shattered Glass fans out there, for some reason. ;)

The ONLY reason I could see getting rid of the Coneheads is if it seemed likely that Takara would release official versions. They wouldn't be THAT much better, but a little (better feet, tampoed 'Con sigils, etc), and likely cheaper... or maybe not, when I think about it. Do the iGear Coneheads go for more than $150 each these days?

That said, I still don't see anything that would indicate official Coneheads are likely. Ditto Ironhide or Ratchet, for that matter.

All good points. At any rate, I certainly didn't wait to preorder, so I guess I really don't disagree with you. :)

The only one I haven't committed to yet is Red Alert, though I probably will at some point.

Oh yeah, and the tapes... gotta get on that. And iGear's new Minibots, too, especially Swerve... kind of annoyed they're coming out in sets of two, but whatever. I probably would have gotten them all eventually, anyway.

Speaking of iGear Minibots, I ended up selling my Huffer and Seaspray. I love 'em, but I got $50 for them, which is a nice little profit. Plus, I can't help but think they'll up-size them at some point, now that they've committed to the larger scale.

I would have been happy at the smaller scale, to be quite honest, but it seems as if they've made their decision. I just want everything to look more or less consistent. :)

I agree that official MP Coneheads are unlikely and even if they used the MP11 mold there's little to improve on the iGear ones.

I just saw what they were going for on ebay ( Around $193 plus shipping for Thrust, a bit more for Ramjet and a little less for Dirge. ) and it got me thinking about raising some quick cash for Iron Monger.

The Coneheads are outside the main group of Decepticons from the early series so I don't have as much of an attachment to them as the Seekers so in that sense it wouldn't be a struggle to part with them.

On the other hand they are all very nicely done and so it'd be nice to keep them as my already outnumbered Decepticon lineup has taken a further hit since I sold all the CHUG stuff.

I feel the same on the first couple Mini Warriors, I may resell them if bigger ones are released but they'll do for now.

I hear ya. To be quite honest, I've been thinking the same thing. Honestly, if I could get $200 each for Thrust and Ramjet I'd probably sell them too. :)

Yup.

I think the writing's on the wall for the first Mini Warriors, which is why I don't feel too bad about selling them. Better now while demand is high.

I'm really kicking myself for not getting the conheads when they were on iGears site for £240 delivered.

But I used the cash I had in Paypal to pay for my MP Soundwave, HT Joker 2.0 & Dark Knight Rises Batman :(

Cheapest I can see them on Ebay now is around £300 delivered & I just don't have that sort of cash spare these days :(

I'm already having to be selective with how I spread the cost of MP Red Alert & the Tape packs
That's without getting onto the new iGear minibots that I NEED in the collection.

It's so hard to keep on top of 3 collections these days :(

Transformer fan/collector since 1985
it was an easy decision with no regrets so far to be honest in getting rid of ALL of the above to pay for new MP's and 3rdp TF's.
obviously given the choice i'd have kept the HT figures but priorities people! lol.

MP soundwaves a grail! no G1 release over here in the 80's and i got rid of the TRU re-iss soon after purchase cos its a bit crap although for the £25 it cost me,i shoulda kept it for the alt mode to MP SW

Yeah, I've pretty much given up on Hot Toys due to the cost. Can't have everything. I may end up keeping Arnie T-800 and Predator, but even those I could see selling.

GI Joes and Transformers "fit" well together. Plus my Kenner SW figures.

Yeah Im still on the hook about Red Alert myself. If he comes stateside hes a def purchase but I really dont wanna pay $90 for him. Holding off on Igears minibots atm,I could see HasTak making some of these guys.

I really wanted ramjet and almost bought him but knew Id have to get the other 2 coneheads and that was just too much $$$ for me then. I think Ill be happy finally when/if we see MP11 mold Skywarp.

No 80's release of Soundwave in the Uk? Wow the more you know! One masterpiece Im dying to get is Jazz. Never owned the G1 toy and always thought he was a kickass character with a pimpin alt mode. The other is Hound. Never had him either but loved the look of the figure. If these happen ill explode!

I hear ya,Ive been collecting HT since 2010 and I think Im gonna quit them soon. Way to pricey and these boxes are eating up too much of my space!lol I could see myself buying a marvel character every now and then but Id like to focus on just Transformers Masterpiece figures. My savings account agrees.:)

Yep I know it's a bad situation to be in :(

One of the reasons I got involved in Hot Toys is that the MP line had stagnated pretty badly after MP-09 & I wasn't expecting much to come so thought I'd get in on the HT stuff with my other obsession of Batman so started getting them & then what do Takara & iGear do...create about a million new must buy figures that I actually never expected to see :(

I've pretty much given up on Hot Toys after the Joker 2.0 / TDKR Bats / Catwoman & will solely be focusing on my Transformers collecting again.

I don't think I'll have to part out the HT collection as I'll start getting rid of my Beast Wars stuff first & that should at least make a dent in the cost of the new figures.

It's just like Takara / iGear though...nothing for ages & then all at once ;) lol

Just re-read that.

We did get Soundwave in the UK in the 80's
I got him for my birthday in '85 from my Nan I remember it vividly as it was the last TF she bought me before she passed away in '86 & he was the reason my friends dad shouted at me on the Sunday morning when I was so excited I took him to my friends house too early & he wanted a lay in :rotfl:rotfl

We never got a release of Blaster though so you might be getting the 2 mixed up.

A nice memory :)

Soundwave was the first large scale Decepticon I ever got and Rumble & Ravage were either the first or second Transformers I ever got after Bumblebee.

Little did I know then that in 20 odd years time the following would occur,

1.I'd be paying £150 for a different Soundwave.
2.I'd be paying £45 per set for his tapes
3.I'd be sick of the sight of every incarnation of Bumblebee that wasn't G1 :lol

Aside from Blaster another G1 toy that never got released here was Swoop.

Back then I don't think the collector market really existed to the extent it does now but imagine how annoying it would have been to get the other 4 Dinobots and not be able to complete the set as online stores didn't exist.

Soundwave was the coolest Decepticon to me back in the day. It was him and Starscream... Megatron was cool because he was rare but he was kinda goofy.

Yeah it is a good one & one I'll always cherish.
It's actually the reason Soundwave became my fave TF & the reason he's my screen name...kind of a homage to my Nan (we were really close when I was little)

I never expected this kind of situation with Soundwave either but he's so worth it.

I actually got the original Ravage & Rumble 2 pack when I was in hospital before I ever got Soundwave :)
I was in a hospital near Hamleys getting some grommits fitted in my ears (I'm partially deaf) & when I came round from the op my parents had bought them for me.
I still remember opening them & transforming them for the first time & I remember the spring from Rumbles neck pinging out & sending his head halfway down my bed :rotfl:rotfl

You'll be amazed by the TF's we didn't see in the UK back in the day...

Blaster
Swoop
Jetfire
Shockwave
Sharkticon
Predaking
Devestator (although we did get the yellow versions in G2 but they didn't come with parts to make Devestator anyway)
Soundblaster
Twincast
Target Master Jazz

Those are off the top of my head.
