You know, I went and took a look at the original toy and cartoon models on TFWiki.net - the back of the gun is pretty nondescript. I don't think this is really an issue, personally...

yup, looks fine. NO complaints here at all.

... Okay, after a while, the legs have started to bother me a bit. I don't care about the back of the gun whatsoever, but I do think the legs need that distinctive curve.

Am I on the fence now? Maybe... The initial excitement has worn off a bit, at least.

I think that a lot of the people I've read that are whining about the legs would be swinging off Takara's **** if that Shockwave was an official product.

He is mint sealed...not too sure on the condition of the box though as he's been in storage but the figure was pefect last time I checked.

If it's the latter and you don't mind shipping from Canada, you could try Kool Toyz. I haven't dealt with them personally but I think they're pretty reputable. I don't know though...at that price even with the improvements made over V1, I still wouldn't feel comfortable transforming him to alt mode. I still don't have the cajones to even try with MP-05 because I love that figure so much, kibble and all.

I'm thinking about selling Hercules and getting Green Giant. The green color and proportions of Green Giant are more classic G1, however he's a bit tiny. Hercules at least looks somewhat in scale the MP Sideswipe.

personaly, i LOVE Herc, as i'm a big fan of the comics, and he looks VERY IDW.
Bit i'm a little afraid to touch him becuase of the problems with the hip joints

I held off on buying Hercules because I just couldn't justify making that big of a financial commitment. There were other things I wanted to pick up or save up for like the DX-11 & 12. That said, he looks mighty impressive and am glad he turned out well. Uranos/Superion has piqued my interest but I just can't get over the Silverbolt redesign and the 6th jet. I would rather it be a partsformer.
