Those Stunticons look insanely good. Though I think Corsair will have a field day with this when he hears that Drag Strip has 4 wheels. :lol

this toy is amazing.
arguably heavier than assaulter.
joints tightened to perfection.
feet are diecast, as are the side panels.

EDIT: Also, FP Weirdwolf and Brainstorm look perfect. Major improvements over Chromedome.

FansProject = The most overrated 3rd party group ever.

In an age when G1 characters are being recreated to increasingly awesome levels of accuracy the Classicsverse aesthetic that FP use isn't even remotely intresting to me any more.

Aside from Warbot Defender which is by far the best thing they've done I couldn't be less intrested in their products if I tried.

... Warbot Defender is probably the worst product FP's ever released in terms of aesthetic and functionality.

I can't wait until next week to check out Quake Wave in hand!

The aesthetic isn't as bad as later releases as it still bears a strong resemblance to the G1 incarnation of Springer and if anything the alt modes are nicer than the originals.

I've also had no issues with mine aside from a slightly loose left arm.

I previously owned City Commander, Protector, the Insecticons and Warbot Assaulter and once the nostalgia for the characters wore off I found them all to be pretty average and resold the lot....I thought Assaulter was so bad I took it out the package once and never even bothered transforming it before replacing it in the box.

Next to MP11-16 and other 3rd party products such as iGear's Specialists and Mini Warriors or TFC's Devastator the majority of FP's stuff just looks poor.

I thought that G1 Shockwave always had the translucent hand?

TJ Duckett, I can't wait to see your review and thoughts about Quake Wave. I'm tempted to buy in on the first wave next month, but something seems a little off from the recent pictures that I have seen. But overall, I'm happy with how it looks and scales with the recent MPs.

Speaking of which, I can't wait to see how Prowl and Smokescreen (and eventually Bluestreak) turn out. Prowl is one of my favourite characters! But I think we need a new Decepticon to balance out all the Autobots. If not Megatron v2 then please let it be Astrotrain or Blitzwing.

god damnit. Waited too long on shockwave. went to order... it went out of stock on the preorder while it was in my cart.

wonder if anyone else will cary it besides captured prey.

They're apparently going to make an opaque set of shockwave hands that you can order for 2 bucks at places like captured prey. They were apparently going to originally make it a running change in the second batch but enough early adopters complained. So if that's your holdup with this figure, don't worry too much.

Wonder what Has/Tak would have to say about that image?

I already see bad QC, the one on the left, second row up his right leg/thigh is screwed on the wrong way round.

I'm not sure what it is, but something about that Shockwave looks off.

Yeah i dont like him either. His back is too bulky and the legs are crap.

MP11:Starscream
MP13:Soundwave & Laserbeak
MP15:Rumble & Ravage
MP16:Frenzy & Buzzsaw

That's 7 new Decepticons, it's not like there's been a drought.

I think the next all new Decepticon mold will be Galvatron, unless Takara announce the Soundwave repaint first as Ratbat is almost certain to be included with it.

Just re-read the Kapow Toys tweet about MP13...

Different strokes for different folks but there's no denying that his robot mode is the least cohesive looking of any FP release. I love the headsculpt, but stupid stuff like the fact that it's too far back and whatnot jut ruins it.

And, on a toy level, universally bad joints really take away from the fun factor of it being a triple changer when only going through the transformations a few times does things like grind the knee joints to nothing since the plastic is made to soft. Add those soft knees to the fact that he has NO heel support and a diecast torso... and yea, I don't need to go any further: hot mess.

I understand though that you may not like FP's manga styling as a whole, and that's understandable. I'm a super robot fan first, so I admittedly have a huge bias towards their stuff. However, in terms of just plain quality and playable product, Defender is definitely on the lower end of their totem pole. I don't see it happening, but I'd love a redo with fixes for said problems.

RE, MMC Predaking - Looks fantastic, and it's nice to see a ton of people buzzing about it.

Re, Quake Wave - I'm back and forth on it, but glad to get a chance to have it in-hand this week. Is there an official release date?

No idea on the release date, but it has to be soon, judging from how far along the assembly is.

Probably a lot with very little that they can do, considering the explosion of third party items that they have done nothing about except a halfassed ban at Botcon and killing a single item only by beating them to the punch.

...This is the assembly line. It hasn't even been through QC yet. :slap
