Damn. Hardcore. Did seem odd that he just exploded when he was shot in the movie. Also dig the one with Devastator, and kinda wish they would have left that in. The more OG Transformers left in, the better.

Good looking shelf! I decided to wait and get Hasbro MP Soundwave since he comes with all five tapes, so it'll be awhile before I have him standing with my Herc, Starscream, and Thundercracker.

If this is the case, I'll cancel my Takara tape pre-orders, for sure. No reason to pay $120+ for 4 tapes when I can get the whole shebang for around that price in the U.S.

Like I said, mine had no issues. I think they must have gotten better as they went on with production. I THINK I read something on TFW to that effect... others, like me, who got theirs a bit later and were more or less QC issue-free.

I agree...I got mine from Captured Prey and mine seemed fine.I bought 2 (Of course the second is Sealed)...

But I also think the Collector could be ultimately picky? Mine isn't perfect,but what toy is? though again,he looked good to me and didn't see any issues unless I got lucky

It almost gives me a reason to get MP Ultra Magnus as I could maybe do a display based on that scene.

I just checked Takara Soundwave's eBay prices--INSANE! He's going for $250+! Particularly considering that he's getting the U.S. release. I could probably sell mine now and buy 2 U.S. releases with all the tapes.

Yea I really liked the extra scenes and it would've been great in the film. I don't see how that Magnus scene is any more violent than ironhide crawling to Megatron and him just blasting ironhide to bits right there

Bumblebee looks a little out of place. Did you ever think about getting the 3rd party VW remold of the classic BB? I considered it but couldn't justify what was it like $70 for such a small guy.

a true MP Ultra Magnus is a dream figure for me. That will probably be my first Takara MP Purchase if not Megatron before (since I think Hasbro would have a problem with him being a gun)

My main hope for a definitive G1 Bumblebee is via iGear.

They haven't announced one for their Mini Warriors line yet but it would seem a no brainer as if they could come up with one that looked as awesome as their Gears does it would be a huge seller.

That said it won't really affect me...I have Sideswipe already so I'm not too fussed, might grab Red Alert if I can but not too worried about him.

There won't be another run of Sideswipe or Red Alert.

Lamborghini aren't happy about....something.

That's IT.

Quite how this has turned into the Lamborghini license being 100% cancelled, other car companies pulling their licenses and the end of the Masterpiece line as we know it says much for certain elements of the fandom

A Grimlock rerelease would be cool as I wouldn't mind another myself especially with Takara packaging as my original one arrived with a damaged box.

The worst case scenario is that someone like Fans Toys might have to make Sunstreaker instead of Takara....which is hardly the end of the world.

A few pics of my Quakewave, really glad i passed on MP Soundwave and picked this guy up instead(since MP Soundwave is coming to NA anyhoo), he is pretty much perfect IMO, only gripe would be the setup of the cheap light in the head.

Just received these guys in the mail yesterday. Unfortunately, Air Raid...errr I mean F15 Eagle, came with a broken nose cone...so he's going back for replacement.

All in all though, when the final two are released, Uranos is gonna be awesome.
