I don't particularly like that idea because if I wanted to display both, I'd have to buy 2 and then I'd have extra pieces, etc.

Good point, I myself wouldn't do something like that so thought didn't cross my mind. I'm just sure others are like myself and have incarnations of Vader they'd prefer to get before others are put out, so a pack could solve that dilemma but opens others. Mainly, I want ANH Vader to go with Ben, and ROTJ because the reveal moment and everything about Vader in ROTJ are what I treasure most, that's always been my favorite OT film, and that first moment where Vader comes through the smoke off the shuttle with the Imperial March playing is burnt into my memory, when I was a kid watching I would wait eagerly, after the officer gulps in fear, you know it's coming it's like c'mon, let's see Vader.

I know this isn;t the Vader thread, but assuming Vader will be more expensive than a regular figure (say $100) I'd be willing to buy 1 of him every 12 or 18 months. He's an iconic and cool enough figure that I wouldn't mind owning 3 or 4.

I used to be very pro ROTJ Vader first, but now that I have Ben, and having stood him with Medi's Vader and that failing, I feel a need for ANH Vader first, the relationship between him and Obi-Wan from Ep1 to Ep 6 is just great and to have the ability to show both duels in 1/6 would be great.

Ain't that the truth. I wish Lucas himself were as involved with product quality as he is with the shows and films, I imagine he'd keep things truer, but he appoints a bunch of suits to call the shots and they make some bad calls.

since i just got home from work and read the newsletter.... this is crap. can't sideshow do anything else than rehash the same characters for star wars??? i guess next is a ROTJ luke PF. thats the only left that they haven't done. this is an easy pass for me.

I don't know why he complains about every Sideshow figure. If he doesn't collect it, he doesn't collect it. That is like me saying I really like coke but then I turn around and constantly ***** about pepsi. After a while I would sound dumb. As in his case. Hence why I put him on ignore.

And don't forget these cost over double, so for $300 I could get 2 Leon's with the same headsculpt and gloves plus accessories (about half of which are reuse) or I could get 4 Luke figures all different headsculpts and outfits (same hands though ) for about $220. You're point was very well made

I wouldn't buy a Super pack all in one deal for pretty much the same reasons listed above.
