Just got this one in from eBay last night for a good deal -

Jun Tsukasa's Kacchu Armored Girl # 1 by BEAT (1/5 scale PVC):

Maybe you know I'm a big anime fan, especially a fan of Masamune Shirow creations like Ghost in the Shell. Thus I was very happy receiving the autograph from Atsuko Tanaka - Major Motoko Kusanagi herself:

Got her for $ 105 including shipping. Most stores have her listed for $ 140-$ 160 plus shipping....

She's 1/5 scale according to the box, but it's really more like 1/6 because she is almost exactly 12 inches tall.

It's not one of my favorites, but still a nice addition to the collection.

$105 shipped is a superb deal, man. congrats. i've got my eye out for her too. the tsukasa bullet range is my 2nd favourite line of anime statues after shunya's stuff...


jkno: nice score with the autographs. ghost in the shell is a true anime classic. kusanagi was such a babe. i didn't like the sequel tho ("innocence"). a bit too abstract for me...

Did you ever see the witch Blade tv series that came on a few years back? It wasn't too bad but nothing comparing to the anime. Love the Masane figure BTW

here's the latest addition to my anime figure collection. after shunya yamashi-ta, tsukasa jun is my favourite jap artist. the way they depict women is very sexy and playful without being sleazy.

anyway, this is holstein hanako from the tsukasa bullet series. i love the design of her costume and the playing-with-butterfly pose. this statue was launched a few years ago, but i just got her off evilbay for a good price. she's approx 1/8 scale, with a cast-off top. however, i've kept the pics fairly PG13.

the sculpt is spot-on---excellent model core really nailed the likeness to the original artwork. and the paint app is pretty good too, with skin tones being even and facial details rendered quite sharply.

i'm pretty happy with this figure and she complements my other shunya girls, scale incompatibility notwithstanding...

How I'd enjoy a 1/6 Yusuke from Yu Yu Hakusho. And Kuwabara. But I think Sideshow would have to step down. Medicom does do a great job with anime figures.

wtf? @#$%^ing photobucket deleted some of my images. stupid prudes, there wasn't even anything resembling nudity or indecency in those pics cos i made sure i cropped them properly. there are far more revealing pics on these boards and hosted on photobucket.
