I am scared of what mess we are going to encounter when we all get our iPhones and then try to activate them at the same time. Not to mention on the 21st when the new iOS comes out :panic:

Luis

Actually, that part shouldn't be a problem at all unless the iTunes Store server completely goes down. And I can't recall that every happening.

So will I be able to record video and then edit it on my mac with imovie in lieu of doing it on the phone?

Well, I reserved mine directly through the Apple store :monkey3

Good idea! I also read that AT&T stores will be selling to walk ins on the 24th. Kinda backwards if you ask me. So people can walk in and buy one, but the pre-order people have to wait a day? LOL at ATT!

Ordered my first iPhone yesterday! I think I got a good deal.

The phone cost $250...

They offered me $200 if I switched my TV/Internet from comcast to U-verse (so I did).

My comcast was $120 per month and my U-Verse is going to be $90. I am getting a little bit less tv but my internet will be double (6 to 12)

I also reworked my text plan so when I added my iPhone data plan my bill only went up $5.

All in all, I think I am saving money LOL... was a bit confusing. Hopefully, U-Verse is a good thing. Does anyone here like it?

They just confirmed that they sold 600,0000 iphones. That doesn't seem like a ton at all? :dunno I would have expected them to sell at least double that with all of the problems. Now I feel really lucky that I was able to order one. 600,000 is nothing!

Can anyone put together a list of must have apps for us noobs?

I have over 100 :)google), but here are just a few of my faves (no particular order):

Shazam
Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Skype, Foursquare, yadda yadda yadda
iStat
Tapatalk (Forum Browser... SSF is compatible)
AroundMe
Urbanspoon
Flixster
WhiteNoise
Sportacular (actually like this more than ESPN's app)
AppZilla

Plus there will be:

iMovie (new for iPhone 4)

No fart machine Carl? :lol

Thanks! I will check these out! Is there a way to browse apps without the phone?

This is what Ill and I have been telling you folks all along. Did the same thing last year for the 3GS upgrade. It was so simple, painless, and fast that I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out why so many people feel they have to go directly through Apple or AT&T. You should've listened to us in the first place. It would've saved TONS of frustration. :lecture

BTW, you got Christina one, right? That means video conferencing between iPhone 4's... Hrm.... :devil

Again, if the computers had worked from the start ordering through apple would have been just as easy. It was that issue that cause the problem. Otherwise ordering here from my house would have been easy too. In the end I drove 15 mins ordered and will have mine delivered to my house on the 24th.

Which phone? If it's the 32GB, you got a good deal. If it's the 16GB, you got scammed.

Its the 16gb. $250 is the price everyone pays (with tax). I got a good deal because they gave me $200 for switching TV/Internet services. So my iPhone only cost $50.

I just hope that I like U-Verse
