Yeah I am completely and thoroughly pissed by now. However, I'm not the type to just run in and start screaming. I like to be kind and give people an opportunity to make it right. If that route doesn't work then I go off. I'm sure they will make it right. If not, !

I was able to finally track this order. It was placed at 1:53 PM EST. So it appears I somehow placed an order. Although all I received was error messages. This was prior to going to the AT&T store. So I guess I will have the phone shipped to me? I have no idea.

This may seem like a dumb question but I have to ask. Most of my web browsing will be done off of wifi. Does that count towards my data usage?

Nevermind, I found my answer. I'm on the phone with another thoroughly confused AT&T employee I do believe trying to figure out my whole pre-order debacle.

Well I called at&t and it took him a while to figure everything out but he ended up being very helpful! Thanks Ron! Apparently I have two accounts all ready to be setup. He said because of the system issues my online order never processed until later at night. However, my online order was placed at 1:53PM so I met the timeframe to have my phone delivered on launch!

So now all I have to do is go to the store and have them cancel my in store order and I will be all all set. What a headache!

according to my order, it will ship on the 3rd of July and i'll get it by the 6th. sad, but good enough for me! just want it in time for SDCC

They gave us giftcards with the $50 balance on it to use towards the phone or whatever if we choose. Literally Best Buy was so simple and quick, I may do all of my phone upgrading in the future there. When I told AT&T nevermind I'm going to Best Buy, she said "At least you're getting one right?"

This is what Ill and I have been telling you folks all along. Did the same thing last year for the 3GS upgrade. It was so simple, painless, and fast that I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out why so many people feel they have to go directly through Apple or AT&T. You should've listened to us in the first place. It would've saved TONS of frustration.

BTW, you got Christina one, right? That means video conferencing between iPhone 4's... Hrm....

Still no word from the mothership on *when* we can expect the white ones.

UK users of various message boards are saying O2 confirmed that they cannot take preorders for the white one, but they will have limited stock on the 24th. Who knows though. Everyone who preordered a white one from Best Buy got an e-mail or phone call today saying "Whoops, turns out we ____ed you." or something along those lines.

I guess the best thing I can hope for is showing up at a store on the 24th in the AM hope that they have some. Maybe they just underestimated demand for the white, so don't have many to go around? Who knows?

Well the debacle continues. AT&T is still telling me I have two on order. Went to the store to have them back out my transaction and they couldn't find it. I also don't have a receipt because they said it didn't go through. They are going to call me back. Worst case scenerio is that I get two shipped to me on the 24th. If I do I will take my sis with me and have them give one to her so she can upgrade. Oh and I still have one on order with Radio Shack just in case. I don't mess around!

There are already some listed on Ebay for over $1000. LOL! However, I would rather help my sis out. It's a B-day present for her fiance. Although I wonder if Radio Shack will sell me the one on order without a contract? That I WOULD flip!

I wonder just HOW bad it's going to be on launch day...... I highly doubt that there will be WALK INS, and it's going to be ALL reservation pick ups (like myself).......

All in all, I just hope that Apple is ready for the onslaught of people..... At least they're notifying people of WHEN their unit will be available. I'm just glad I have one "set aside" for me at a store to pick up

I don't know. People thought the same thing last year (when there was also a "sell-out" via AT&T on the first day of pre-orders for the 3Gs) and it wasn't an issue at all on launch day for most. It'll just depend on overall inventory and how organized they are come the morning of June 24.

I just read that AT&T stores are not selling them until the 25th for in store pickups. Glad I got my online order through.

well i went to the at&t store yesterday ready to pput my pre-order in but they told me since i wasnt an existing iphone user i could get the upgrade price until august when im eligible. i was so upset about that but now im a little happy just cause i dont want to be stressed about it on launch day, plus its only two months away i think i could hold out till then ill just being doing this the whole time

I am scared of what mess we are going to encounter when we all get our iPhones and then try to activate them at the same time. Not to mention on the 21st when the new iOS comes out
