I lucked out man. I have no idea how my online order got through. I got all sorts of error messages and I think it even timed out.

Lots of rumors floating around now that the white phone will be in-store on the 24th. I just threw my iPhone against the wall and now it won't boot, so I'll be in-line on the 24th hoping there is a white phone available. If not, black it is.

Orange UK Announces 28 Different Price Points For The iPhone 4
You can always count on the folks across the pond to have crazy pricing options for their phones. Pricing for the iPhone 4 on Orange UK range from a completely free iPhone 4 16GB with a £75 ($110) monthly plan to £570 ($843) for a iPhone 4 32GB on a pay-as-you-go plan to every other price point imaginable in between. We know this is pretty much par for the course for you British, but 28 different pricing options is a little overwhelming for us.

Orange UK hasn't started taking pre-orders but for what it's worth, they make no mention of the White iPhone 4 being unavailable.

I don't remember the 3GS but I do remember that last OS update where everyone tried to do it at the same time and things failed horribly, people had their phone freeze and unable to unlock for a few hours. That'll happen again I'm sure.

I stand corrected, it wasn't with the release of the 3Gs, it was the latest software update.

I hope something similar doesn't happen this time.

Almost a month after it's released. Honestly if that was me I would be all over the Droid 2 by then. No way would I want to wait another month for a new phone.

Dude the new Droid looks awesome. If that was available just a bit earlier I think I would have stayed with Verizon. I wanted the Evo so bad but just couldn't switch to Sprint. The Droid 2 is bigger and badder then the Evo!

Did they not even check for your eligibility? That's what the girl at Best Buy did, she checked first, said I was eligible then had me fill our a form and put my name on their pre-order list.

A relative of mine works for m*, so I've heard all about it...enough that I was considering switching if I didn't get the iphone 4 reserved the other day.

They didn't check mine either. I just paid $50, I got a gift card with a recipt that said iPhone 4 pre-order and she wrote down my name in a list. I was number 7. All she asked for was my name, zip code and telephone number. She didn't ask for the last four digits of my SS.

I hope I get it.

Yes - They did look up my account to check out my situation. My contract was up for renewal, I changed my text plan, and my wife got a new phone too.

but the pre-order was all paper/pen. I hope they kept all of the papers in order!
