I still say waterhand, he's Aquaman, not Captain Ahab. I'll still never understand why they thought...well He's Aquaman, king of the sea's, so naturally let's put a man made item for slaughtering sea life on him. The worst was when he went to star labs, you know with scientists and they give him a retractable grapple harpoon. Cause you know, when you think cybernetic appendages you think retractable grapple harpoons.
That was the JLA cartoon story that made a bit more sense, but the comics its completely different, a supervillain steals his ability to communicate with sea life and then plunges Arthurs hand into a pool of pirahanas which eat his hand to the bone. After losing his hand, looking for a "symbol" he attaches the harpoon. Which made very little sense to me.
