Ok, I still cannot figure out the sideshow webpage. How the heck do we order this statue today? I signed into the newsletter and there was nothing listed. I am priority pre-order qualified. Do I have to site all day and wait for the newsletter to be sent out with the link provided therein? Is this how this company handles things? Any guidance is appreciated, this is my first pre-order with them.

Firstly, this is not a PPO...it is a pre-order that will be available in tonights newsletter. Here is exactly what you do:

1]. Head over to SS's website at approx 8:30 EST
2]. Log into your SS acct.
3]. Start hitting the refresh button until the Aragorn statue shows up on the home page. You might be doing this for upwards of 1/2 hr so make sure you are prepared to be bored to death during the wait.

The newsletter goes up at roughly 8:00 PM Central Time here in the US, so it would mean a late night or early morning for some folks. I wonder if SS has an edition size in mind for this initial offering, or if they might be a little more open on the exclusive pre-order.

It's a US company buddy, as much as we would like things released in UK time, it ain't gonna happen.
There's prolly a collector or two in many of countries around the world that want the releases to be in their time zone, on their day off, precisely when they sit down for a cuppa.

It's always middle of the night somewhere in the world, they can't please everyone. It can't be helped.

It's a US company buddy, as much as we would like things released in UK time, it ain't gonna happen.
There's prolly a collector or two in many of countries around the world that want the releases to be in their time zone, on their day off, precisely when they sit down for a cuppa.

It's always middle of the night somewhere in the world, they can't please everyone. It can't be helped.

Sorry Shell I hear you but don't agree, this is not about SS suiting ME this is about working with the MAJORITY and the MAJORITY I'll bet in the EU are sleeping around this time, so they should at least have a separate PO for the bulk of the EU, this has come up before and you can bet if the shoe was on the other foot for the US we would hear the same moaning!

I'm growing weary and overwhelmed by collecting. It was a lot easier when there was only one line of LotR stuff to collect.

Hey, moan (constructively) as much as you want mate but you should know by now there's no point in getting so worked up about it.

At the end of the day the company is based in the US so things are gonna be done as per US time. This has come up before, many, many times which was the only reason for my post. There's no point getting worked up about it
If someone wants a piece bad enough they will just have to set their alarm. I know some that do, including me if it's something I want.

Apart from a Friday PPO, most Sideshow product goes up for sale with the newsletter on Thursday night (if it isn't Star Wars.)

My heart goes out to you (and any other overseas collectors) as not only is the timing an inconvenience, but all of the hurdles and VATs and extra shipping costs required to get a nice collectible home show some real dedication! I will keep my fingers crossed that you have an opportunity to order tonight!

My heart goes out to you (and any other overseas collectors) as not only is the timing an inconvenience, but all of the hurdles and VATs and extra shipping costs required to get a nice collectible home show some real dedication! I will keep my fingers crossed that you have an opportunity to order tonight!

Thanks Seaward, just pisses me off every time! I don't care if they are a US company they take my EU money quick enough!! They should at this stage have something in place for the EU. Anyway that's enough about it from me, not in a position to be shopping at 3:30am on a weekday with the possbililty of it taking a half hour and then not being able to get back to sleep for one on one consultations with clients early the following morning, no thanks SS GET REAL!!

Well, I live in the EU (Spain) and I really prefer setting an alarm at 2:30 a.m. (or even stay awake until that time) rather than not being able to order something I really want because I am busy at work or wherever...,so I really don't understand the problem. A few hours less of sleep don't kill anybody imo

I hear ya buddy!

I've had no worries ordering at a convenient time from any other company, i'm sure there must be a time that's suitable for most of the collecting world! Surely SS's biggest source of income is the US and EU, so you'd think they'd set up a better time..... ah well, i'm not losing sleep for SS and if i don't get an order in i'll go on the waitlist, they usually convert if you get on soon enough.

Just jump on the waitlist as soon as you get up, I'll be very surprised if it doesn't convert, based on most past stuff. Or if your happy with the Reg, you'll be able to get that anytime.
