Fight? There was no contest IMO, HT whooped EB Don Corleone.

In the end, but while it lasted, it was a good fight. Each kept improving on their's and adding more. That's what I'd like to see with this one as well.

Some still say EB's Godfather is better. I agree with you though that the HT was better.

I'm not surprised by the amount of nitpicking and comparing, i just hate the constant whining, guys this fig will be THE best Jack Sparrow ever, the main sculpt is awesome and abut 99.7% accuratate, all it could use is a bit more of a tan and the second sculpt is a bonus, i like it but the main sculpt will be how i display him with a bit of a change-up every few momths to the grin face

Even if HT don't refine the head sculpts - particularly the smiling one - then I'm down for this figure. There's too much too love about this for me, even at this early stage.

I know this is based on new movie but it would be awesome if they brought back the corpse jack figure that they had originally scrapped and included in this dx package

Neither head sculpt needs refining....they both look freaking amazing!
Everything about the figure in the shots (the hair, the beads, etc) looks outstanding.

...man I thought I was done with 1/6 forever.....a 'casual suit' Bruce Lee and now a DX Jack Sparrow .....damn you Hot Toys for pulling me back in!

I would say the sculpt's just need to be more tanned like some have already pointed out, he really does look to much on the pale side.

I think he suffers slightly from "Pug Mug". He kinda looks like a pouting pug, if you've ever seen one of those.

The smiling one looks like he may need some of the ick between his teeth toned down. But that might look bad because it's so close up and blown up so big.

Hopefully they may tan him a bit and not go too far like their last one!

If its only $200 I'll be a happy camper... but DX tends to come with at DX pricetag.

I hope its lower, but I'm mentally preparing myself for what I expect is the ceiling price of $250.

Unless Jack has an environment (ie Indy - map room, idol etc) and tons of accessories $250 would be overpriced IMO.

Either way........HT ask $225 - 250 better have plenty cool stuff besides 2 faces and movable eyes. I have the original HT Jack and I am not afraid to keep it

You never pre-order? Bruce Lee really put it up in neon lights what can happen if you don't jump on things early.

Well most of my collection is Japanese figures that I get from places like AmiAmi, where you always know way ahead of time if something looks like it's going to sell out or if it's safe to not pre order. With Sideshow though, it's not so easy I've noticed.

I think it would be cool if they had a base that looked like part of the ship and had him at the wheel. Theres no reason not to have a great looking base on this one.
