Honestly, with how the movie was received, I'm surprised they're still continuing with the Iron Man 3 license. Though I do admit, I DO want the Shotgun Armor (and that'll be my 1st and only Iron Man figure). And they should stop THERE.

Some people loved it, most hated it and the rest were in between. Hot Toys loved it, so it only makes sense.

I dunno the movie made over a billion dollars the hardcore guys hated but the casual movie fan loved it its not failure and hot toys knows this .

And hopefully. cheaper figures, too! It's just strange that Hot Toys has managed to last this long without any sort of major competition, aside from the likes of Medicom and Enterbay. I wouldn't imagine that it would be that hard for someone to form a small company and start to pump out their own figures. There are several talented artists in the customs section of this board alone, who would give Hot Toys a run for their money if their merchandise were ever mass-produced.

In any case, all that Hot Toys cares about is Iron Man (and Avengers to an extent). They have zero respect for their other licenses - which are just an afterthought.

But who are buying these figures? Definitely not the casual crowd. I'm not denying the success of the movie, but I was referring to the screen times of the suits, and how it changed the hype of anticipating any figures from Hot Toys.

I'm beginning to suspect that's why Hot Toys snatched up these licenses in the 1st place, so that they won't have much competition.

Making an abundance of Iron Man is completely understandable, there's big money in him.

It's the not making much of all the others announced thats the problem.

No one would object to all the iron man figures if all the backlog figures were also being revealed and put up for order.

But that isn't happening as Iron Man is getting the resources and thus the reason the others aren't being made.

Instead of Magneto they do the space armour, instead of Ichabod Crame they do the mansion Tony, instead of Batman from Arkham City they do War Machin 2.0, instead of Marty McFly they do Mandarin.

Iron Man is taking the place of all the ones people are waiting for. Thats why people hate it
