Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

I don't foresee that happening. One thing that all of those figures have in common: they're all pretty barebones characters. The only one that I think should've been more filled out is Bane, but you can tell just by looking at him that he's a money grab. When was the rock ever confirmed for Catwoman? It was a single photo.

She already comes with a unique, elaborate base. I don't think the rock was ever going to be included. Spidey and Wolverine; what do they need? Civilian clothes? They don't use any gadgets.

As for Wolverine, they've already made a civilian Logan for Origins, but what you've also got to remember is that they have the license for The Wolverine, which hits next year. I've not seen them skimp on a single Batman release, accessory wise, and I can't see them starting here.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

I've been playing Arkham City again this week. Such a fantastic interpretation of Bats. Pumped for this figure more than ever :rock

I want all of Batman's significant gadgets in Arkham City to be included in this release. That'll be the:
- Batarang (Sonic or Remote, but not the normal one)
- Cryptographic Sequencer (fave)
- Batclaw
- Remote Electrical Charge / REC
- Line Launcher

And the Batmobile from the first game!:D

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

Theyd never do the batmobile from AA if they are doing an AC line.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

I doubt that Hot Toys would even consider doing a Batmobile from the video games. They already have a lot of vehicles coming out from the Nolan and Burton lines.

If the demand is big enough, they'll at least consider it. They might be considering it as we speak.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

This vehicle would be cool but not going to happen

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

It's easy for collectors to just go with the '89 Batmobile for the Arkham City Batman figure.. It's bordering on reality & comic-mythos.

No need for Hot Toys to release a vehicle which wasn't really usable the entire game.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

I wouldn't count the Arkhamverse Batmobile out completely. If there is a big enough demand for it, they will at least consider it. At least it might sell better than "The Bat".

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

If you ask me there's no better figure to display next to a batman than Bruce Wayne (I know most people would say the joker)

Who would be interested in an Arkham City Bruce head comission if hot toys don't give us a Bruce head? the beat up suit look from the beginning of the game would be a cool bash, with broken chains around his ankles and wrists and bloody knuckles etc.

I love how everyone doesn't give 'Bruce' a chance in there :lol

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

Then customise it into this :lol

I think a Bruce Wayne figure from AC would be sweet :D

Don't know if I'd spend $200+ for it as a separate figure, but I would pay a little bit extra to have the sculpt/suit/accessories/body (kinda like the Bruce Lee DX) included with the AC Batman figure.

I haven't really been reading the thread since I was avoiding it until I finished the game. Has HT said whether this will be a DX release or not?

I prefer AA design over the '89 one, it looks more practical.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

That thing would be an enormous pain in the ass to parallel park.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

Word on the street is, though I don't know how true it is, that "The Bat" may be cancelled. IF that is true, then that may open up a possibility of a Hot Toys Arkhamverse Batmobile to be produce. It's all speculation at this point.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

The Bat's not getting cancelled. They've put too much R&D into it to not make it now. They're just pulling a marketing stunt. They let the "rumor" that they aren't making it slip out so people get bummed and say I'll pay $1,000 for it! Then HT comes out with it and charges $1,000+ for it and people will buy it because they feel so lucky it got released at all. :slap

The Arkhamobile didn't get enough screen time to warrant a release outside a Hot Wheels car.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

I was just looking through the other HT Arkham threads, and I found this little gem from about a year ago.

My dream Arkham Bats:
-Figure
-Alternate head with detective mode cowl
-3 batarangs,1 remote batarang,1 electrified batarang (a la whiplash)
-batclaw with extra attatchments(ultra batclaw)
-grappling gun
-explosive gel w/detonator
-Cryptographic sequencer
-Base with Arkham logo
-Alternate Gargoyle Base
https://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87972&page=2

I must say that one thing I could really get behind is the gargoyle base. They've done the environmental bases for everything from Jake Sully to Spider-Man, and Arkham Bats is a case where the environmental base would actually make sense (seeing as how you play through about 50 percent of the games with the gargoyles being pretty prominent. Bonus points if it's mountable. Not to mention that they've kind of spoiled us. I don't know if I could go back to standard bases for Batman figures. :lol

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

A gargoyle bas would be excellent but i doubt he'd be able to perch on it as he should be able to.

While we're on the subject of wanted accessories, I'll add an interchangeable mouth-piece like the keaton and dark knight figures, which includes a teeth-baring mouth, and maybe a heavy-breathing bloody mouth (like the promotional black and white poster). Also, I'd like either a choking or wide-grabbing hand for interrogations.
