Well, I'm just starting collecting (since about 6 month). I have Aragorn, Gandalf and Legolas Exclusive but I bought them on Ebay.
It allways turned out cheaper then ordering directly from SS and pay for shipping and taxes to Europe.

You know if you have to pay over 100 USD for shipping + around 90 USD for VAT and Customs...Because of that I only get Regulars via a local shop.

I don't understand the Sideshow Exclusive policy if I would be able to order Ex from my local shop I would really pay even a little more for the possibility.

But price 434 USD to my country (which is in EU) for 1 maquette is for me personally a lot. Especially if I would like to get all from the line...imagine having to pay around 434 USD everytime...uhm! Unfortunately I can't afford that...

I'm glad that I'm able to get Regulars for a great price and even a discount - and I really like them and I am sad to see that a lot of people here just underestimate the Regulars for something "less" than Exclusive. Yeah they haven't the extra accessory but they are the same great quality like Exclusive...

Yes if you are in europe you guys really get screwed. You should look into the services of a intermediary shipping company. I noticed quite a few european collectors do that on ebay. They would have a paypal confirmed shipping address to some loading dock (almost always in florida). Then the company stores the packages on your behalf until it's sizable & ship it in 1 shot as part of a container via boat. I believe the cost is significantly less, but you have to wait to get it.

I restrict my listings to us and canada only, and have shipped quite a few items to those loading docks with eu paypal , no problems so far.

Here's a Before & After Picture getting her in the mail and After I repainted her face, Hair, and added gliter efffects to really make her shimmer. This is what i just learned i can do as well as drawing portraits so.. I got the exclusive version with 2 faces and
being an artist and loving to paint and having two heads to switch out i thought what's an hour of my time?

Just in case there are any artists out there that own this too - I wanted you to have an idea of what you can do too, but if you can't paint - she still looks great and is worth the price you pay. I mean this is the only Arwen collectible that stands above all.

And into response to why buy this staue instead of a model kit? Well I always repaint my statues of my favorite female charachters because it's fun and I can do it in less than an hour - but model kits take 500 years to do for me and there is no and never will be an Arwen model kit that looks as good as this I mean The Hobbit is almost out - I've been waiting forever for this She-Elf - get her while you can guys if your a fan - Whether if you repaint her or not it's my favorite piece from sideshow and you will feel the same , I just like to paint and put my own spin on my art and statues

Just buy it already and stop thinking about it!!

Thing is, for the amount people are paying, you shouldn't have to repaint it.

So you're gonna judge based on one bad picture above? Tom took some great shots and it shows that when it all works here it works.

I just had the chance to open mine and I couldn't be happier. My exclusive actually looks better than the regular head. Her lips are darker and the cheeks have more color. If I had to nit pick, I don't care much for the dark coloring of her philtrum.

Mine is #81 exclusive.

I don't know if it's all of a sudden. Rogue has decals for eyes. I think my Avatar PF has decals. It could just depend on which factory is doing it.

Mine has good eyes on both, the reg is slightly better than the exclusive's, but not enough for me to complain. The exclusive's eyes are a bit more "wide-eyed" looking compared to the reg.

No one is going to take the head off and look as closely as we do to the statues. I inspect mine up close. I think both sculpts are fine. They aren't perfect, but seldom are they.

To be honest, I like the facial paint on this better than on Gimli.

I can forgive a lot of things on my statues, but googly eyes are not okay.
For me, this is a main focal point. SS needs to address this. It is ruining what are otherwise A++ sculpts.
