I got a second vergil just to mod it and see what body to use.
Any suggestion on a good body to use with vergil and dante as the stock bodies are trash imo.

I like the stock bodies honestly, it doesn't work for DMC4 Dante, as everything fits weird, but it's still pretty good and looks good with the other figures out atm.

So I got it in the mail. The tailoring is leagues better than DMC4 Dante, and the weapons are a straight upgrade. Asmus was right, the boots don't hinder ankle articulation at all somehow, would've preferred a two part boot, but it's still pretty great. Lower torso articulation is non existent, bottoms of pants aren't as baggy as they ought to be, and there's some issues with the stitching in the armpit on the coat as well as over tightness in the arms when trying to move them up or backwards. Hair could've been a bit whiter too.

It's a really great figure and the likeness is way better in person than the recent promos, aside from teh few hitches in articulation, it's actually pretty incredible and posable. Best rendition of DMC3 Dante in toy form for sure and looks great in nearly any pose. The pants are perfect in the crotch, doesn't seem to catch stretch or tear or look awkward, no idea how they managed that honestly. Gun holsters are incredible, metal detailing superb, and the magnetic face switching and Kalina Anne was not necessary but a very cool addition. They vibrant red they used for his coat is phenomenal, they didn't wash it out like the old revoltech or make it look plasticy like the play arts. The coat magnet for the sword attachment is even better than before!

Most of my hang ups are slight articulation tolerances, one lack of a joint (unless it's there and it's tight enough that I think it's not there), construction of the boots, and the color of the hair. I'm also weary of the pleather being damaged over time as is the nature of the material, and really any figure like this in the scale that uses pleather, because god damn does this thing look stunning.

If you're on the fence about Dante here, I would get this, I don't think we'll ever have a better rendition, Smokin figure. Makes me super excited for Nero since he'll have more of the magnet action and no pleather goods. Keep up the good work asmus, I hope you guys continue improving your figures for more home runs lie this.

I used 'Jiaou Doll - 1/6 Male Body (JOK-11C-YS)'.

But it's really hard to change.
Especially, you have to be careful to put on a vest, 'cause it tears easily.

how do you even remove the vest in the first place lol.

Finally got a free weekend to take some time to take Dante out of the box and put him on display. I'm really impressed! There are so many details that I love. The coat with all the zipper and button details are fantastic, and Ebony and Ivory look amazing. In fact all of the weapons look very impressive. I'm very happy, though I do find him quite hard to pose. His arms don't seem to want to go very high in his coat? I'll need to be less precious about the coat, I think, to wrangle him into his classic gunslinger pose. He's an amazing figure, hopefully find some time to pose him properly and get some nicer pictures next weekend.

how can you remove Dmc 3 dante's coat?? Mine has deteriorated and Im gonna repair it.

Big yikes.

My Dante's Jacket is peeling too. But I'm going to flake it off entirely and post photos afterwards. I don't mind. I'll see if I like it as is or just repaint it entirely with liquitex paint.
I already flaked off my DMC 4 pants. The jacket is fine though, I think they used real leather on the DMC 4 jacket - Atleast the old listings said they did.
I have two of the figures and in both cases, the pants flaked but jackets were okay.
But here is a photo of my DMC 3 Dante Jacket flaking.
