I really like the look of this. I can't recognize the sculpt, is it the Asmus or Magneto head resculpted and repainted?

There's a custom modded/rehaired Gandalf on ebay with haired beard. Some one buy it before I have a moment of weakness.

I think this is the one you were talking about. I pulled the trigger on it. Not perfect but it is instantly recognizable. Love the figure as a whole except for the boots. Tried to hide them with the pose and the scarf draped down low. A couple of iPhone pics...

Gandalf was my 1st purchase from Asmus. I very much enjoy seeing the mods and customs made from the base Gandalf but I also truly enjoy him as-is. I quickly followed up that purchase with Saruman and Aragorn (Aragorn just came in yesterday) and I truly love what Asmus is doing. Because of my joy with Gandalf, I am now invested in this line (Sam and Frodo coming next week!). Keep that quality high, characters cranking and I will look forward to each release!G3.jpg

Looks cool. Wish I'd see it for sale. I'm not crazy about the Asmus Gandalf head. May have to get a Magneto to have customized.

Agreed. I was actually looking for a Figuremasters Magneto head to add hair too and then I came across this. Boom! Sold!

Received this custom haired Gandalf the Grey headsculpt today and I'm really impressed with it! I was thinking I was going to need to repaint it when I got it, but the paint work is actually pretty decent in hand! I can finally put that Asmus Sculpt to rest!

Very nice looking! I really like hair and beard, not a fan of eyebrows and truncated mustache. Decent paintjob although Asmus stock is more realistic.

So the complete head sculpt is a custom? How much was it if you don't mind me asking?
$75.00
Considering how much a rehair costs to get done and the cost of getting another sculpt and all that I thought $75 was a steal.

Yes, the Asmus paint is more realistic. But the sculpted beard and poor likeness ruins it for me. I may repaint this in the future if I conjure up enough courage or commission it when I have extra funds/artist time.

Holy crap, that is a steal. Sorry to beat a dead horse. That sculpt is not an existing sculpt? A customizer sculpted it?
