Not according to most of the images on google. I may have seen 2 images where it seemed purplish versus many where it was gray.

I think maybe it's a really drab purple in the movie? Not crayon purple like that.

The Pippin head looks killer, though--hopefully there's still time to fix his cloak up.

You guys need to go into the LotR custom thread for Merry & Pippin if you want to see some good ones.

Merry and Pippin sculpts look great! And the proportions of the bodies look accurate, too! (They don't look barrel-chested like the Sideshow hobbits.)

Hoping there's still time to work on the materials and colors for the outfits, though. I'd love it if they could use some thinner fabrics so they don't bulk up quite so much. They tend to look a bit doll-ish when the clothes get bunchy. And, of course the colors could be toned down a bit. But it's a great start!

As for Thranduil, I'm really hoping he's still in early proto stages. The armor looks great, but the rest of the outfit needs some attention. Looking forward to seeing the head!

Things are getting exciting in Middle-Earth!

No Arwen? I don't get that. Merry and Pippin look good but the tailoring needs work. I'll wait on Frodo and Sam, which will probably be when Gollum shows up. I'll probably forego Aragorn for now and stick with the ACI.

Agreed. Now that I have seen non blurry shots of them I am glad I did mine. Snydermans sculpts (especially Merry) were so much better.

But that is the last negative peep I will say. I am glad people who weren't around when we did those 6 years ago can add them to their collection.

Hmmm I prefer the old custom Merry and Pippin head sculpts. Those were spot on.
Still I'm super excited to get these little hobbitses.

Fun to see the Hobbits WIPs. Obviously those won't be the colors or the clothes we get. Imagine the sculpts are rough drafts as well.

Always great to see works-in-progress so please, Asmus, keep it coming.

Hmmm... I hope that the hobbits are WIPs. The likenesses are there, but Merry looks really grumpy. Pippin's a little off. And the clothing looks very rough. But the bodies look good and well proportioned, which is a good sign.

Asmus...you had me at the fellowship! I'll now own them all.

Are there any pics of the hobbit feet? Very curious how they plan to handle those.

Yes, no ankle articulation, BUT....they have hair!

Nice to see a company like this not only have the balls to do characters that the "Bigger" company didn't do when it had the license, but also listen to its customers for feedback and to add replacements etc when they realised there were issues.... unlike that other "big" company.
Good job Asmus, some awesome looking figures coming out from you guys.

I`m very excited about Thranduil. Hope to see high elven armour somewhere down the line ( maybe from the LOTR prologue), or even Thranduil`s elite guards.
I hope they fix his costume though, his clothing is tight and full of embroidery and it glitters in most scenes. And it isn't white, nor is the cape.

Man I'm so excited. I'm going to need a second job to pay for all these! Can't wait to have Merry and Pippin in my collection :)

I'm sure that a lot of this stuff was rushed to be able to have it in time for the show, especially considering Thranduil doesn't even have a head. The Hobbits' clothes will undoubtedly be changed just like with Bard. As someone already posted, they need to find some really thin fabric for them. It's almost like they have to work at 1/12 scale here because they were halflings.

Confused about Thranduil's clothing. It only roughly resembles what was in the film. The colors are wrong...

Display for STGCC. pretty sure those are merry and pippin in the background to the right

I don't understand the scale of those Hobbits. If the foreground Nazghul are 1/6th and then the background figures that are BEHIND the Hobbits are also 1/6th, they almost come off 1/4 scale. Definitely need more pictures to see what is going on there.
