Mine arrived at customs, maybe a couple of weeks to another month before they clear it for delivery. Custom services in Brazil take forever... My GF gave me the Nazgul + Steed combo for xmas :)

I hope this turns out like the picture in my brain. If the weathering is under cooked that'll bring down the whole show.

Finally opened my steed, a new year treat.. Overall satisfied, but all the open wounds in the steed are gone. Such a shame, I really like the zombie horse look.

WTF?! So we're getting an even, smooth, velvety finish over the whole thing? That'd be quite the bait and switch.

yep, that's what I have. Smooth velvety steed.

Oh FFS. I'm going to have to weather this myself. No matter how bad a job I do of it it couldn't possibly look worse than a smooth, velvety steed. Smooth velvety steeds are the worst.

I am right now kinda busy but will take pics later. It's not actually smooth all over, they did weather the legs. It's all muddy. But the wounds are all gone, that's what I am so disappoint of. I kinda understand why they stick to velvet even though it will make all the wounds gone, because the velvet material does hide the joints very well. However I still hope that they can make the wounds show, but that's not we're getting in the end.

Yikes, stopped in to see if there are any in-hand pics.... from what I'm reading the absence of bloody wounds is going to make the natives here restless.... I want this but really have to see in hand pics...........

Asmus really has to stop doing this. They are making amends with other issues like the Witch King Body and Gandalf headsculpt which is awesome and unheard of. I just don't see how they could make up on this. the cuts should be on there if they were on the prototype.

Really appreciate it if you could. My decision will likely be made on your photos.

Here you go, guys.. meet the smooth stallion:

Oh dear lord. I know that's catching a lot of light in those pics, but that is ****ing hideous.

Well aside from missing cuts, the horse itself looks nice, particularly the mouth and teeth. But the "clothing" doesn't look too hot.
