I still wish I could get non-articulated horses. I don't care if you're able to pose them. I don't care much for the joints and the fact that they can't stand on their own.

So I am thinking about buying this set from BBTS after seeing all the rad pics. I just want to get a better understanding of the issues first before I make the plunge.

From reading, the Horse cannot stand worth a chit and needs some home remedy leg stance correction? Then the Nazgul body suck a$s but there is a body replacement program in effect for the Nazgul? Does that apply to just the purchase of the standalone figure or the Nazgul figure in the set too? Also, there is an extra sword that its missing, the BBTS disclaimer says "its not available in the set" but should it be? Do I need to contact them for issuance of the missing sword or was that a misconception?

Thanks in advance for any help or extra words of wisdom.

Many people have indeed had a wide variety of QC issues with this set, so plan on expecting to run into them. At the same time, these figures are being put out by a company that cares about their customers, listens to comments and suggestions, and is working on making improvements as they go along...and on top of that, problems aside these figure are really cool to own! Some of the potential QC problems with the horse, depending on what they are may have a simple solution such as regluing a clean break on a piece of armor. You are going to want some patience, and enjoy doing a lot of futzing to get the horse and figure the way you want them...keeping in mind that a body upgrade is coming.

The extra sword is suppose to be included if your purchased the set, some got it and some didn't...this was due to how Asmus supplied these to their retailers. You will need to contact them if you get the set and it's missing. You also need to contact them if there is a defect that is not fixable. The replacement program applies to any Nazgul figure as they were all created using the same older Kaustic Plastik body.

I sent these guys an email (including my photo with my COA with my name written on it), and I haven't heard a peep.
I appreciate their effort to remedy this problem, but I feel like things are slipping between the cracks.

Bah! I just bought this on eBay yesterday for $270 thinking I got a good deal :lol

Don't feel bad...I passed one up earlier this summer that was under $200...:gah:

The real problem is there are way too many awesome figures coming out...I just need to walk away.

Ouch! That would have been an awesome price!

I figured I had to eventually jump on this sooner rather than later so I can submit of COA for the upgraded body (plus I'll probably have to ask for the missing sword too). It just sucks that literally less than 24 hours after FINALLY taking the plunge, I could have had it for $20+ cheaper :lol

I too put this line on the back burner for a while, but that Mouth of Sauron pulled me back in recently. Gotta play catch-up a bit before things start selling out. Going to get Skully at least, but I'm still on the fence on Gandalf and Eowyn. So far I've just got the baddies and neither of them were home runs, but they'd both go well with the Witchking.

Finally heard back from Asmus. Receiving confirmation that they are in receipt of my initial email is reassuring. Here's to a smooth body replacement
process.

Got the confirmation email as well...whew!! Thanks Asmus...you are slowly building a very loyal fan base. Hoping that the near future brings a few additional licenses your way...Braveheart, Gladiator, Riddick, Underworld, to name a few!

Forgive me if this has been covered before, but is the thigh armor on both the Morgul Lord and Nazgul the same, i.e. - two right thighs with no true left?

Same mold for both sides basically.

I haven't fully investigated yet, but does this occur on any of the other armor (upper bicep for instance)?

Just wondering.

Regarding this problem I wrote a few pages back:

Does anybody have this problem on their Nazgul leg armour:

Regarding this problem I wrote a few pages back:

Yeah, yours was clearly a factory error as the knee/shin armor was clearly wrong and production/board member photos prove there are two distinct molds.

My inquiry is about the thigh armor exclusively. Both my Morgul Lord and Nazgul rider have the same pairmofmthigh armor, i.e. - two right molds. Does a distinct left thigh armor mold exist?

Anyone?

Is the mask on the horse removable? I think I might get this guy because I don't know how long a newer improved version will be released. Can he be supported by the dynamic stand it comes with if you put him on its hind legs with the front legs up in the air (a la Zorro)? I hear that it bends over time due to weight, but if not, then that's good.
