Looks excellent, Wor. You've gotten rid of all the wonky nitpicks I had with both the rider and horse (especially that annoying seam and pointy head look the Nazgul come with stock). I remember way back, when I said I was expecting "big things" from your customizing and you've surely delivered. Would make a great stand-alone piece in anyone's 1:6 collection. :duff

Wow! Those are truly kind words! THANK YOU!

I'm really happy with the way this set turned out. It's takes some work and dedication but you can really make a beautiful display piece. It would definitely work as a one-off rep of LOTR. For the price -- now that so many pieces from HT are nearly $300 -- this seems like a bargain for what you get and for how big the piece is all together. Really outstanding piece.

More pictures tomorrow... :D

Outstanding Wor-Gar. I'm saving your pics as reference for when I'm able to put the work into mine :)

That's the thing about this set - there's plenty to complain about if that's you're inclination; but it can be a great piece with just a bit of time and effort.

There is some first class futzing/customizing going on in this thread! Awesome work, Wor-Gar and Thundercracker! I can only hope, when I can finally pick up this set, that mine will look half as good when I roll up my sleeves and get in there!

Thank you! And yes, it takes some time and care but the bones are good and you can really make this set outstanding.

Wow!!! If only this is what it looked like when you take it out the box. This is superb!

That looks outstanding Wor-Gar. I like the way the nazgul is kind of stooped over.

Thanks guys! Again, really appreciate the kind words and support.

About 50% of my work really is just the water treatment -- it's really that simple and will improve the look 200% with nothing more than a spray bottle and a little tugging on the fabric.

A few more pictures just because...

I got my Nazgul finally, after it sat in my Pile of Loot forever.. The Morgul Blade didn't come with the pommel on it, which was pretty annoying.. My other grievance with him that his wrist peg is so weak. Hell the arms in general are loose.. Other than that he obviously needed work outta the box, but that was expected.. I do dig the figure, but I might have to get a Morgul Lord body for him..

The button on my horse broke and the horses eyes were on for six days before the Batteries finally died.

Hey guys...did some of you not hear back at all from Asmus and or receive the missing sword after emailing them?
Would you suggest i email them again? Or just wait another week or so, i sent my email to them 2.5 weeks ago.

What a lonely space left empty.... :(

I would wait another week or so. Back when I got the figure, I emailed them, heard absolutely nothing, and then the sword showed up in the mail about two/three weeks later. I've emailed Asmus in the past regarding different figures, and they've always responded quickly. They're probably getting so many for the missing sword they just gave up responding!

But yeah, your sword is probably in the mail as we speak.

I apologize behave of Asmus... :slap

Sorry to say that after emailing several times months ago and with two assurances that it'd be sent, I've given up on receiving the sword.

That is really strange. You did get both horse and Nazgul, right? Did you PM Asmus thru this site as well as contacting customer service? Hope it shows up for you.

As a side note -- I had rigged a "spacer" between my steed's legs (salt shakers actually) and have let it stay for the last 53 days. :lol I had planned about three days but life got in the way. So anyway, after 53 days (since May 19th) I finally freed my steed today and... the legs are further apart but I can tell they've already started to drift slowly back. I figure I'll end up with a split difference between where I was aiming for and the original way they dried in the casing. 53 days can't beat the 2-3 months it was sealed in that box.

Conclusion: don't bother with the leg spread unless yours has real problems.
