Just called AE. The rest of the orders should ship today. :)

First new figure in MONTHS! Well, I've bought figures, but this is the first new release. :D

Lol. . . . . . but I can relate to that feeling. There is something nice about getting a new release.

I got mine from AE this morning. Haven't opened him up yet.

edit: just quickly unboxed him. Didn't take him out completely but did lift him out briefly. The metal helm is AMAZING! :rock

Pretty pumped for the morning to finish the unbox.

Cheers for the greeting, hoodonit. :wave
AE seems to be in good standing with Karma. Haha! I was surprised when I saw it was listed "new arrival". Clicked Add To Cart right away. BBTS is such a giant with fans and collectors, you'd almost think they'd have WK first. You're practically just across the border from AE, so my fingers are crossed for you that it shows up at Superpowercollectibles very soon! :)

Yeah, the pro's do outweigh the con's. Like I said pages back. He looks amazing in a collection. I just wish if they were giving us real metal parts they could have wrist joints that support them better. This is defiantly a must own for LOTR fans in 1/6.

I'm really hoping Asmus surprises everyone with the Aragorn Sculpt.

Cheers, Chev. "Viddy well, Droogie!" :yess:
It'll be interesting to tinker/futz/wrangle/subdue the Witch-king into submission. I talked to Roscoe - the fellow that posted the great video review on Youtube - and despite the looseness, he's very pleased with it. All about adapting, I suppose.
And Yes! - looking forward to the unveiling of Aragorn! Asmus came closer to Ben Still - er, um the Nightwatch museum guy, hehe - than SS did with Viggo, so I've got hope for them. And judging by the final product of WK, can't wait to see the Ranger's outfit and gear!

Yeah, I was talking to him on his page too. Great guy. Yeah, I'm hoping the Aragorn turns out pretty good. It's probably good to have low expectations.

You mean yours doesn't have the lightning and sparks feature and the fancy illuminating stand? Maybe try replacing the batteries.

In all seriousness awesome pictures and yes Surly is 100% right but there are nomrally plenty of pictures taken that fall on the other end of the spectrum and once you have the figure in hand you wonder how in the world can they make it look that horrible in their pictures.

Very true.

Those pictures are so damn sweet tho. It does make me excited that the figure can be made to look that good, because while in hand it won't look that way, you can't make a turd look like a rose with good lighting.

I started with the scabbard and then went full repaint on the armor.
Need daylight for better pics, but the sculpt is great!

Only thing I touched on the rags was folding half of the sleeves under the elastic bands.
