It wasn't horrible, the only problem I had with AC3 was the vast amount of stuff that it included that were completely unnecessary. I stopped playing when it started talking about weighing the risks of sending a supply caravan to try and gain profit for the homestead. WTF?!?!

I hated the "bait-and-switch" at the beginning, and quite frankly, found Haytham Kenway to be a much more interesting character than Connor. It would have made for a far better story if Ubisoft could have stayed the course, and have the player experience the entire storyline through the perspective of a Templar - perhaps to show that they weren't as "evil" as the Assassin Order made them out to be.

But yeah, I agree, the Homestead missions, and the rest of the side-quests were pretty pointless. The "Encyclopedia of the Common Man" and courier missions kept glitching on me for days on end. Good lord, I do want to go through that again.. :gah:

Ezio's Pizza still sounds better than "Altair's Taxi Service" or "Ratonhnhakéton's Resort Casino". Their names just don't have that ring that Ezio has. "Ezio". "Hey-ah, Ezio! Make-anoda slicea da pizza! Mamma-mia!" :dunno.

Looks like you might get a little bit of your wish Solidus. At least according to rumors...

The new character's name is Edward Kenway, the father of Haythem.

Looks like we're still sticking with Desmond's genetic line. Perhaps he's brought back? Does one of his relatives go in the Animus? Maybe his dad?

Nice find. At least Connor won't be returning, so I'm happy about that.

It'll be pretty interesting to see how Ubisoft is able to continue the story of Desmond's ancestors, considering that ending in AC 3. Also...
Maybe there's another person (like Subject 16) who shared the same lineage as Desmond. Or perhaps, Desmond is still alive - in that, his consciousness may be trapped in some sort of alien animus technology.

I actually loved the "bait & switch" in AC3. That was the equivalent of the "The Truth" from AC2 in comparison to AC3. That sort of "shocker" that gets you. It also made you care for Haytham and his gang in some sense, and you felt a little more personal attachment to Haytham and it was disappointing to see Connor have to do what he did.

Perhaps the Edward Kenway story might introduce us to a young Haytham......and also plant the seeds that will make Haytham turn later on.

Not keen on the look. Its too busy. I miss the elegance of Altairs outfit. Or Ezios brotherhood outfit. Where they kind of look like everybody else but with a hood and in white.

This new guy is going to be walking around with guns on his chest and likely other weapons hanging on him. Not classy or "covert" at all.

Not that im too interested at this point, My love for the franchise died with Ezio.

Ghey. One of my top 3 favorite game series... ruined for me with a stupid cash grab aimed at pirate goobers with Jack Sparrow fetishes.

Well, my pirate fetish stems from the fact that I share a bloodline with Edward Teach, Blackbeard. Yes, I love pirates and yes I will be getting this, but not because of POTC.
