We now have absolute proof that he is claiming he mailed something. If House heads don't start showing up within the next week, we will know for a fact he lied and nobody will be able to deny this mess any longer.

Patience is the hardest part, but right now we have to take small steps to achieve our goal of getting these items or refunds.

I guess you're right, but somehow I have doubts. One thing is certain though if nothing shows up he can claim he never said anything to you because he addressed this privately in the form of an email rather than here.

I'm giving the guy two weeks since I'm in Toronto. My head better be drilled and the damn cane better be painted.

Drizzle,

If you get the head, I will buy it from you. If you don't get the head or a refund, I promise to work with you to make sure Chris never sells another sculpt on this board again.
and i too. everything and everyone related to sculptures and collecting that i know off will know about this.

i guess the lesson here is dont get high off your own supply :lecture

or "never underestimate, the other guy's greed."

Ok, I just got a second email confirmation from Chris. He confirmed a deadline to me for the Maximus project. I have his emails, and I can forward them on to forum management at any time. There will be no denying what was said. It is right there in black and white.

Now comes the hardest part of all. We HAVE to wait. I can't drive someone into a hole when they have put something like this on the table. Chris has promised that within a couple of weeks we will see more projects being completed and/or sent out. By July 1st, the writing will be on the wall.

Hang in there guys, trust me, I know it's hard.

Im suprised this thread has gone on for as long as it has. Just from what i have read on various threads it looked as if Chris took on a very heavy load. Perhaps to many commission jobs in a row. Im not sure most of you realize what goes into some commission peices however. He is sculpting these, painting them, balancing a social life as well as other work. I agree communication is key but when you have so much on your plate its hard to keep checking in and answering peoples questions with where is my stuff, how long is it going to take..ect. I recently got into contact with Chris and he seems like a very trust worthy guy and he even mentioned to me he is working rediculous hours trying to get these things completed. So many sculpts so little Chris i guess.

Looking through some of the threads created by these customizers, they all seem to suffer from lack of communication to their customers. I see some peoples questions answered, but others get no reply at all???? Seems like they just pick and choose who to reply to. There's a guy in the SovereignStudios thread that is asking for a refund that was due over three years ago? WTF is up with that? It's bad business is what.

Then you get a few people that will defend these artists to the hilt. why?

Most of the posts are just " how is my head coming along?" or " when is this shipping?" or "have you shipped yet?" not the most complex of questions are they. But they go unanswered. Surly if you have taken someones money then the very least you can do is reply to their questions, even if it is a "sorry I'm a bit behind" or "I need another week" or whatever. Take an hour or two in the evening just to reply to pms and posts?
It's not much to type in a few words just to let the customer know that they are not forgetten about.
my two cents

Sorry bro, but this is the kind of logic that always baffles me. It's like Chris is soooooooo important, that he shouldn't be held responsible for the way he handles his business. Read his post on page 31 where he doesn't apologize for anything and actually acts like he's a victim. Read his interview at figures.com where he states that his sculpting "can take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks depending on complexity", yet people are waiting much, much longer without updates or courtesy.

I for one don't think the guy is trying to go out & rip folks off, but I don't think we should just excuse people who are so careless with people's time & money. Maybe he thinks the white lies & questionable ethics are all just part of the "figure biz" that he's a big player in, but I think that his arrogance & attitude probably gives many people the impression that he is a *********.

I don't know why so many people come to his defense especially when he constantly reminds us that Freak's money is just chump-change to him.

He took on too many projects and got himself swamped? - HIS FAULT. It sucks when you were interested in just one of his sculpts & before he even starts on it, he's taking commissions on like 50 other sculpts.

I knew Chris would come back. I think the simple thing is that two many orders were taken and its going to take longer than most of us thought.
I'm not sure whats going on with the refund situation but I hope something can be worked out for you guys.
I'm still waiting for 3 heads which I'm prepared too. The longest running being the Jack Torrence head ( from the shining ) which has been about 7 months.
I've personally waited longer for custom work but in that time I've usually been given updates. With other problems , orders and things simply distracting me I haven't concentrated on these orders and even if updates were given I probably wouldn't have even noticed.
I'm happy still to wait for my heads to arrive regardless of what was fair , who was right and how this has turned out.
I was never given a set time so personally I'm happy to carry on waiting. I was never personally lied too or led on like others have mentioned nor do I think in the commisions I was invloved in we as a group were lied too etc.
It has been a long time and we didn't get many updates in the Jack Torrence head thread but I did see the Lost Boys head finished. I guess this has whats made me keep my faith in Chris and his work.
Plus I've watched him work on other peoples commisions and read positive posts throughout them all. Maybe with the odd " any updates ? " but other than that its been relativley calm until now from what I've seen.
Maybe it was time for something to have been said but 2 weeks wasn't a long enough time for me to start worrying and for me personally its been over 45 days since I paid with paypal so even though I want my heads still if I couldn't get a refund.
Whatever ?. :huh

I will wait for my heads and hope Chris can post some more updates.

What really needs to happen is for those requesting updates to get them , those requesting refunds given a refund or at least an explination as to why they can't have one and for basically any other concerned customer to have there questions answered.
Since Chris is having a hard time getting emails maybe he should open another email account just for this situation currently and let us all know the address. Regardless if it takes time away from him sculpting and working I think we would all prefer to have our questions answered.

I still have faith in you Chris and am glad your ok but I do think maybe some more updates and answers would help this situation alot.
I'm tired as hell. Sorry if I'm rambling.:rotfl

Greed . . .

For some reason that just reminded me of seven and I need to buy that dvd. :D

Wow, so many replies!

Chris showed up already. The intention of this post is realized. Like some of the gentlemen said (or ladies), wait and see! There is nothing to loose to wait for couple more weeks! Don't let this thread becomes a "finger pointing" thread.

Take a deep breath and relax. We are all friends here. Don't let different opinions and/or different view points change that.

You probably wouldnt get it because you are not a commissioned artist? I agree that it takes a bit extra to keep your customers in the loop and i for one think giving updates and such are important when doing business. I know i appreciate them. But for some of the comments to be made on this thread seem a bit rediculous to me.

I agree , I do. I think I just maybe haven't been hit the hardest in all of this or maybe haven't taken it as bad. I think the main thing we need is more updates and now on each project rather than working on them. Then once everything is straight get back to it.
This just a hobby for me so I guess I always see the positive side too it. I hope for more updates soon and for questions to be answered.
Did anobody requesting refunds get any pms ?.

Chris has destroyed his friendship with members here because he had flaked out on responding to his customers.

Every human being loses it from time to time once the frustration kicks in. I paid this man 7 months ago ............... I never heard from him again. Whether childish or inproper I feel my quotes were more than understandable, I was pushed today.

I do not tolerate ignorance. (Don't even bother pix :D)
