Who the hell is complaining about the long wait? Why don't some of you boneheads actually read this thread from the start?

Seriously though... 5 or 6 months is not that long of a wait. I agree C Howes should (and most customizers) should have better lines of communication. But you must be pretty new to the game yourself if you expected results in a matter of weeks.. Especially considering that for a while people have been spamming the boards with C Howes commission threads.

My experience has been this: The better the customizer the longer the wait period.

The results I expected were progress photos of the Maximus stuff. Chris promised he had a bunch of great photos and he said he was going to post them at least four times. Months have gone by with nothing.

The other result I expected is to get the House head and can I paid for that was supposed to have already shipped a month ago according to Chris.

If he would stop lying about his progress, and have at least one working email account that he ANSWERED, I wouldn't be complaining at all. And this is only my experience with him. Others have the same exact story going back to last fall where he promised to ship items within two weeks and never did. This is not isolated, and that is very much a cause for concern if you ask me.

Don't make excuses for his behavior.

I wasn't. I am more on your side than you think. I just think you could tone down the hyperbole and the rhetoric. Its getting a bit melodramatic.

What about those of us that ordered and paid for items and have been waiting going on 14 months. These were supposedly already sculpted and only needed to be molded and cast. This was way before he started taking on all the commissions.

I dont have a problem waiting but where do you draw the line.....I have requested a refund a couple of times that were ignored just like Terminators request......

This is not about the quality of Chris's work, or the wait for it.

It's about the fact that he has taken a large amount of money, lied about posting updates to his customers, ignored repeated attempts for email communication and denied refunds to those who want them. Terminator is not the only person still waiting for a refund. Add all this up and you have a problem, and it doesn't help solve it when you attack those of us who want to see the problem solved.

Chris is not exactly being forthcoming with information, even now. Why can't he post updates and end all this?

5-31 You post that you paid for a head and cane set.

6-02 You want to be added to the list as confirmation he received payment.

6-05 You say "I don't mind waiting for custom work. I never complain about delays, and I have a fair amount of money paid out to Chris for projects which I am not at all worried about. I truly believe he will deliver what he promised."

So how EXACTLY does that kind of attitude devolve (in a matter of a few DAYS, no less) into it being OK to involve law enforcement, threatening to "sue his ass" and every other personal attack in this thread?

It just doesn't add up, and obviously you DO mind waiting.

Actually, the House commission is one the few C. Howes commissions that has had constant updates. Not sure why people are complaining about that sculpt.

Well, if he was already involved in the Maximus project which was "OBVIOUSLY" so unsatisfactory as to get to the point of suing people now, then why would you sink MORE money into another project by the same guy?

It just doesn't make any sense at all.

I will tell you why my attitude changed. I was ignored by Chris on repeated attempts to get my name on the list for what I paid for. He should have been more organized once I paid, but that is neither here nor there.

Then I start noticing that other threads have more people complaining that he is unreachable. I realize his email account is dead. More people come forward asking why he is unreachable. I start this thread and even MORE people come forward with stories about Chris's poor behavior.

I will gladly let you guys call me melodramatic and whatever else, but I want all this out in the open so Chris can't continue to take money for projects that are not going to see completion for a very long time in his own words. If you want to hate on me, fine. But I wish more people would be vocal about their displeasure with Chris. Go read the thread at OSW. They are saying we should be calling Chris's employers and complaining. I don't condone that at all. Give me some credit.

I didn't start this thread and could care less about getting a refund. I never ever once called Chris a theif either, my concern is his ignorant attitude and it IS ignorant.

All of this started going downhill at the same time, which sent of huge red flags. I had already paid for both projects before things went downhill. How is it so hard for you to understand?

I am not suing anyone yet. Tone down the melodrama yourself.

By the way, your timeline is wrong. I paid for the House head back in March. I waited until May to ask for my name to be added to the list, and only AFTER Chris said he was starting to ship the heads.

If he has to root through THOUSANDS of e-mails (and anyone disputing that is just being a jerk, what position can anyone be in to possibly dispute that?) then it's perfectly understandable that he never got any of your e-mails or any Paypal confirmations.

And if he's swamped with work to the tune of 100 hours a week (which again, no one can dispute), then isn't it also perfectly understandable that he wouldn't have the time to make it to these boards (as evidenced by his "last log-in" date that all these amazing "detectives" figured out so brilliantly) to read posts from people freaking out?

I'm really not trying to make this personal with you man, but when you're calling someone a liar, that you're gonna sue his ass, etc, etc, realize that you are making it personal.

I'm not out to hate on anyone.

His tone, attitude, initial and followed up posted response. If you can't find examples of ignorance then I don't what more to tell you bro.
