It's almost believable that Spidey could end up in a cameo, as Marvel isn't taking as much of an issue with him/Sony as they apparently are with Fox/X-Men/FF. But it would mess with Sony's plans of their expanded Spidey-verse. Wouldn't make sense to have the same version of Spidey in both universes, and having a different version would confuse audiences. So ultimately, it's not realistic.

Like QS in X-Men & Avengers?:dunno They could just say it's not from the same universe, or even he gets plucked out of his own, and that should be enough. Plus, it'll fit into Spidey's whole dimension traveling theme he's often had. win-win

But there is always that slight chance that there is a character in this movie that we never would have expected be in it that is thrilling. It's so possible too, which makes it exciting.

Exactly. They could easily reboot Spidey and even the Fantastic Four into the MCU later in time. X-Men would definitely be the hardest to do since mutants are supposed to have been around for thousands of years.

The difference is, the rights on those two weren't clear, so both companies did what they wanted to, irrespective of the other one's preference. Spidey cannot be used without Sony's OK, so Sony would only allow it if it were to their advantage. Also, QS and Wanda are B/C list characters that only hardcore comic fans will care all that much about at this point. Spidey is an A+ player all the way, being the basis of his own potential filmverse. So there is definitely more concern over how he is represented by another company than would be the case for, say, Paladin or Morbius or whatever other Spidey character Marvel may want to use.

Can Sony and Fox keep Marvel's properties for perpetuity? The deal can't be as long as they keep making movies of those characters? Disney is a big enough juggernaut that they can get back Spidey and Xmen back to Marvel Studios.

as long as they keep making movies, and they will just to spite Marvel, this includes half assed efforts like Amazing Spiderman 1 and 2 and the Failtastic Four

Nooo not that. About the B and C list characters. Fox and Disney share the rights to Wanda and Pietro because of their involvement in both properties. Wanda and Pietro appeared first in X-!Mn but became Avengers only a few years later and have been ever since. The fact that they've been Avengers longer than they have been a part of X-Men despite their first appearance allowed shared rights.

My argument on that level was that, hypothetically, the studios would be far more willing to share a B or C lister than an A lister. If Marvel Studios really really wanted to stick Silver Sable into a cameo, I think Sony could be persuaded. But Spidey? Forget it.

i think Sony is willing to to negotiate with Marvel Studios. i think i read somewhere that Oscorp tower was going to be in The Avengers movie but due to time constraints it was scrapped.

I don't want any mixing of studios, let fox and sony continue to butcher marvels so called a list characters and let marvel studios continue doing what their doing

I don't want mixing of studios either. If I want characters to be in the MCU, I would rather have Marvel get the rights back to characters since the MCU versions of characters are pretty damn great. The X-Men movies are good but are god awful representations of comic book X-Men aside from Charles and Erik. I would honestly just be happy if we got the Fantastic Four back.

Plus: Victor.

That is all.

Fox isn’t butchering anything, and I believe DOFP has made the most money of all the Marvel films so far. Spidey hasn’t been as lucky, but Sony has also given us Spiderman 1 and 2 which are some of the best superhero movies ever.
