I know I sound like Chris Farley "remember that part when..." but whatever. :lol

I thought it was cool when Scarlet Witch got all "Exorcist-y" after she pushed Cap down the stares with that weird backwards walk as the doors closed in front of her.

Crazy vertigo when Cap made that leap to the lifeboat as the city dropped out from under him too.

He was a pretty efficient villain, to see
the ****ing city dropping like an asteroid
made me go OH **** :lol it's the 1st Marvel Villain that makes me react that way.

Yeah I absolutely loved the meteor scheme. Not just the scale, but also how Ultron likened it to the extinction-level event that killed the dinosaurs and how it all fits with his twisted god-complex. :panic:

I don't think it was a god complex, I think he genuinely believed that was the way to purify humanity, as they said at one point, it wasn't so much about beating him, but whether he was right?

I'm with PopCultKid on this.

This movie is 15-25 minutes away from being as good as the first. Not the same as the first, but as good if not better, if that makes any lick of sense. (I think you get it).

What is there was good enough for me to be content with it, it just needs that final push to make it feel more whole and less rushed.

The story was more involved this time out, so it just needs some additions to flesh it out some more.

Maybe for you it would be one or two outstanding action moments for a specific character.

For someone else it could be the music, or more Ultron building himself up, or a greater conflict between the group.

I just find it hard to believe that for anyone who loved the first could view this as a big let down.

For me anyways , this is NOT TDKR all over again.

I would agree Jye that this film is about 20 min away from being great.. And for me that is the last 20 min of the film... If that could be redone and have some more memorable moments for the characters I would have walked away happy. Instead I felt I was just watching the Hero's cut through very bland robot drones.

If the ending really paid off I would have been satisfied... Now of course part of that would be more Hulk.. But the same goes for the rest of the hero's. Again part of the blame goes to the fact they were fighting toasters. Perhaps it could not be made more exciting because of this... But if Ultron himself was more of a threat I think it would have made for some more fun. As for the music... I did not care for it but that was just more like a final kick to the groin then something that would have ruined the film if it was the only issue I had.

As far as the TDKR comparisons... I actually enjoyed TDKR the first time I saw it... But man the second viewing... Everything fell apart.. I don't hate it as much as some.. It has too many good moments to hate completely but there is plenty to hate. AOU does not have any "hate" moments. But it does lack "WOW" moments...and It is that reason that the movie really falls flat. For me anyways.

I really hope we get an extended version on Blu... Though I hold out no hope that we will get more action.. Or at least the "wow" action that I enjoyed so much in some of the other marvel film... I really don't think I will get anymore Hulk :( But perhaps we will get a better editing structure and more fleshed out characters. Both would improve the film but without the "WOW" moments it will never be one of my top Marvel films.

MOS.... Less said the better... :)

I liked that also... I thought we would get more of a "supernatural" feel for her in the rest of the film... Actually it was strange they even filmed that scene that way since they ever did it again.

Yeah, but I think it was a one time chance, because she was pretty much unknown, so it had that factor, as we found out more about her she lost that factor and doing that kind of scene again would've been weird imo.

he's gon die right? I mean, Thanos be taking the mind gem from his melon and crushing it in the process

Was that really one of the infinity stones in the scepter? I really can't believe Thanos gave it to Loki to begin with. If it is, then yes, Thano will take it easily, and Vision might die, but it's a Marvel film, so death doesn't mean ****

Yeah, unlike MoS the heroes in AoU spent a lot of screen time saving people. I never really felt civilians were put in danger by their actions :dunno

:lol

There is one scene in MOS that sums up why I hate it and it's whole Superman don't give a **** attitude..

Superman gets a tractor trailer thrown at him... He casually fly's between the cab and the trailer... The truck then crashes into the building behind him...

He Superman... You're SUPERMAN! How about stopping the truck from hitting the building that might have humans inside of it, instead of looking "oh so cool" and dodging it.

Yeah, that confused and freaked me out a little bit :lol there are too many horror movies about crazy/weird girls but SW would take it to a whole new level with those powers of hers

Yup, in a creepy castle, perfect scene.

Then Maria Hill broke it all down into physics. :lol

That's just it though, she really didn't move like that, it was Cap's childhood fears of Hansel and Gretal coming out.

His dinosaur line was hilarious, as if jealous that the dinosaurs got to have their life ending event, not fair, not fair. :lol

GasparZizou's praise of this movie is weird. Spider-sense tingling....

*carefully looking around to see if his buddies are moving into flanking positions*

:lol

I want to give you a hug.

We're gonna tear you apart, from the inside.

Wow, great comeback!

I thought that as well, but it was Cap hallucinating.

Well technically he did have a god-complex (he makes a number of allusions to his fascination of the concept of godhood, heck even Spader and Whedon admitted it in interviews), but I do agree that he genuinely believed his methods and cause to be the most necessary and efficient way to wipe out humanity.

I think one of the jaw-dropping parts was when you see the outskirts of the city suddenly split apart with dust flying out and then the city started to ascend while Ultron made his speech. Really made me go "Holy---!" :lol

Nail on head.
