Such a good fight. I understand shaky cam complaints, but not for this scene. you can follow the action really well.

the scene is shaky AND there is a bunch of quick cuts. it takes me out of the movie, you might be able to follow the action but i want to SEE the action, just not follow it in my mind, that's different.

No, stop. You're trying way too hard with this one. :slap

no im not trolling, Im being genuine.
pretty much the only thing that I really hated about Winter Soldier was how shaky the action was (something age of ultron did better) and how much they cut in between scenes.
the camera was all over the place on winter soldier

why do they make action scenes like that? I do have a little bit of motion sickness problem, i cant play first person shooters so when scenes like that show up i get sick sometimes
specially in the theater. thank god i didnt see winter soldier in a theater. it was too shaky even for the tv

i never understood how thats supposed to make you feel like you are "Inside the action". I feel more connected when you can see what is going on, not when the camera is zooming in on the actor's faces and shaking everywhere.

Say what you will about the Matrix Sequels but at least the action scenes were filmed Perfectly. you could see everything that was going on

Fair enough. In decent doses, shaky cam can create the illusion and atmosphere of an adrenaline rush. TWS handled it best in my opinion, where the action is still very clear and clean-cut even with motion of the camera following through. Each action already feels like there's a lot of strength to it, and the shaky cam only serves to spice it up by giving it that feeling of a rush.

the only games i cant play are first person shooters. makes me very dizzy. with the shaky cam, i just find it distracting.

None of the other Marvel movies ever needed shaky cam like Winder Soldier did, Avengers 1 didn't need it, Iron Man never had it. and I never heard anyone complain that they didn't feel immerse in the movie. I get what you say about spice it up by giving it that feeling of a rush but I don't think most movies need it. Like if for Example they had made Terminator 2 with Shaky cam or make The Dark Knight full of shaky cam, or Batman Begins...
I do not think that would have added anything to the movie's value.

at the same time I've never heard of anyone Loving shaky cam, most people might be okay with it or tolerate it, but I don't think I've heard anyone actually love it so much that they wish all movies had it. just feels like a lazy gimmicky way to make action movies.

Now that I think about it I am really hoping they don't add shaky cam to Avengers 3 and 4... or to Captain America 3, I could ignore Winter Soldier but now that I think about it I hope those guys don't go the shaky cam route with the upcoming movies...:sick

Sorry Jye, but X2, First Class, and DOFP have better, original, well thought out action sequences. Nightcrawler's White House attack, Wolverine semi berserker rage mansion attack, Magneto hunting and killing Nazi's, Magneto Submarine lift, Quicksilver kitchen scene, Magento plastic prison escape in X2 etc.... All unique action sequences that don't consist of your typical CGI brawl that you can find in just about any big summer blockbuster.

I still think Spider-Man 2 Spidey vs Ock on the train is the best of the best though.

Also in DOFP if they would have brought QS with them I don't know that would have exactly done anything. The end of that film tells me that Mystique would have have to be killed, or change her mind before the future could be saved.

I forgot about the NC opening. :lol

Ok fine, you guys have 2 cool scenes, but Superman 2 assault on the White House just might be more epic! :lol

:lol

SSF is not a place for diplomacy. :lol

Thank the maker, I hate politics. :lol

The tie in shot that ends with Hulk punching Thor in grand central in A1 is better than anything in X movies. And I adore the nightcrawler/whitehouse sequence.

Hip Hip Hooray! :lol

I didn't feel like any of the action scenes in Winter Soldier were new or interesting. I'm still shocked that so many people love them. All I see is a bunch of mindless punching and kicking, that's filmed so awkwardly you can't fully appreciate any of it.

Those X-Men scenes are way better. I forgot how good those were.

Like others have said, the X-Men fights are way more inventive and "extraordinary" as well.

The WS fights remind me more of something from Transformers. Where it's all so ridiculously fast and repetitive, and no single hit seems to matter.

Yeah, no. First Matrix did it best because:
1) it wasn't a CGI/stunts/choreography porno like sequels;
2) fights were short yet impactful, had lots of cuts and character moments.

Also, there are MUCH less cuts and shaky cam during the finale of TWS. Why? Because it showed a planned move against HYDRA which took place in previously established background and was more about characters and interactions between them. Because it wasn't a chaotic chase scene in the middle of city full of civilians after a sudden HYDRA/WS attack.

What a bore it was, Cap landing in one of the most bad ass superhero poses ever to grace the silver screen after taking out that QJ was a real eye sore! :lol

Taking out pirates, Cap's elevator fight, Fury's road rage, the Winter Soldier's street attack.....all A+ action sequences in my book.
