Just saw it last night and I hate to say I'm somewhat underwhelmed. The awe at seeing them all together wasn't handled right and it got really slow in the middle. Weadon usually does good with the dramatic character sequences but it was flat this time, and I can't really say for sure why. Funnily enough, the two things I was worried about most, Wanda and The Vision, turned out nice.

I think it would have been almost impossible to capture that same awe in this movie. Seeing the Avengers together for the first time was one of those 'first time seeing dinosaurs in Jurassic Park' type moments. It's so unique, historic and memorable that the feeling cannot be duplicated. I think that's why they started the movie off the way they did. I thought it was great but I had my expectations in check as well.

It would be cool if Hot Toys came out with figures of the Hydra soldiers, especially...
the flight suit ones.

I'd like any hydra soldier from WWII or the current ones from AoU... Especially the ones
with armor based on chitauri technology from AoU

I know there are some people here that feel they look like power rangers or their villains (or whatever), but I like them because they would look great next to the chitauri soldiers from A1. Or in a hydra display if they ever make more than just Red Skull (Hoping for Strucker, though he was a ***** in the movie.)

That's awesome! Things were so hectic in that scene (in a good way), that I didn't see the incorporated aesthetic of the soldiers. Now I really hope Hot Toys makes them for the display appeal you mentioned.

I actually felt sorry for those soldiers in AoU. Probably have been stoked to have those new armor toys then the likes of Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Captain America come barging in...

It's akin to bringing a tank into a gun fight. :D

I honestly don't see how Strucker felt that the new chitauri weapons and armor would make a difference against the avengers... the chitauri themselves were fairly useless against them.

Ah dammit. Sorry guys. A lot of pocket dialing went on while I was carrying my stubborn kid's bike during a walk today. I actually put up a ton of kitty emoticons on facebook as well.

I think those guys were just cannon fodder to keep them busy really. Strucker's real plan was to have an army of drones. I'm not sure I liked the fact that it was Stucker and Hydra that designed the sentries and not Ultron himself since they were seen during the early raid on the fortress

To be fair, maybe he was just expecting an attack from SHIELD. :D

Oh I thought you were just high, or drunk. :lol

Hey guys anyone know what tee shirt Stark is wearing in Ultron ( the one with a diagonal streak / line across it. ( it looks like a paint brush made it. He's been wearing it in interviews also. Thanks to all

Yeah, i know that the magic of having them all together has been done in the first movie and you can't go back and have that first "whoa" moment again but I just felt it could have been a little less drop you right in the middle at the beginning and maybe show them all meeting up again after being apart. These guys don't hang out together all the time so it would have been cool to see them get the band back together to have a little build up.

This is it

I'm reading things from some people that noticed Ant-Mans helmet in Tonys vision when all the avengers were dead. Anyone else see this? I'll have to look closer on my third viewing.

I definitely missed that but
I do recall seeing a character lying lifeless with the other Avengers that i didn't recognize. Might have been female

I'll have to look closer during my third viewing as well.

Seems to be the prevailing opinion :lol

:hi5:
I hated it; it sucked. I hated everything about it. :pfft:

Not. It was a great movie! In fact, the more I reflect on it, the more I realize I'll be seeing it a couple more times in the theater. There was a lot going on, and I am sure I missed a lot on the first viewing..
