Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Saw it yesterday AM, enjoyed it but not more than IW.

Loved The big Cap moments. Hated what happened to Bucky. Who even likes Falcon? Guy has no super powers and no jaw LOL.

Thor’s transformation was funny but surprised it lasted the whole movie.

All-female battle scene was cool but felt very contrived.

Hulk dabbed on some kids.

And yet, both their minds were conveniently connected and shared via WiFi Bluetooth brain.
Exactly! Also I think they treated the hulk the way they do because
he had to have his smarts when he used the infinity glove and afterwards he only had one good arm so how much smashing could be done with a half fried hulk?

Screw the movie for doing that..
Let Hulk snap his fingers after some smashing.. WTF Russo's ?

Or don't give him Gimp arm at all. First time Thanos used the glove it did not give him Gimp arm

Or here is an idea.. One of Hulks main powers is the ability to heal.. Just like Wolverine..

In onw comic he got fired to the bone and still healed back in a matter of minutes.

This film went out of its way to make Hulk a wimp.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

All this convoluted time travel crap, the elephant in the room in terms of the flaw of this movie, and you guys just spend the last ten pages complaining that Smart Hulk didn't "Hulk Out."

Huh. Comic book fans are a weird lot, aren't we?

This movie was not a masterpiece. It's not the greatest of all time. It had flaws. We could nitpick them apart from now until the end of the internet.

But this movie sure was one hell of a triumph wasn't it? The spectacle of it was so big, so grand, it's almost hard to articulate into words.

So I'll offer a quick comparison.

Long time comics fans may remember just how proud Marvel was of their Macy's Parade float back in 1987. There were ads and reminders in all their comics..."Don't miss it kids...REAL Marvel heroes...you're gonna see them all!"

That was literally the best they could do. They were on their way to bankruptcy back then. But we didn't know that; we just loved the characters.

All of the Marvel movies are cool, except for Captain Marvel. Even the "bad" ones have at least a scene or two that elicits wonder.

Infinity War/End Game may not stand the test of time as "cinematic" masterpieces, according to film snobs, but for anyone that ever read a comic book growing up, and sat in their room daydreaming about what the Avengers would look like as real people.....these films are the Mona Lisa.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying it, from the "normies" that had no idea who Tony Stark was before 2008, to the rest of us that have longboxes filled with worn out read and re-read and re-read books. And like I said, for a movie to have the power to make this cynical old grump misty-eyed or cheer and pump my fist? Well, I didn't think any movie had the power to do that anymore.

LOL I remember all the mentions on here of how Evans doesn’t have a strong jaw and that’s why the chinstrap is a must for his Cap helmet, well his looks absolutely sculpted compared to this knucklehead.

He will certainly never be “America’s Chin”.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I think Cap has the time stone in his pocket.. I mean how long before Chris Evans come crawling back to MCU after nobody wants him for other films?

I wonder about RDJ also.. Though I think he is more bankable.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I don't get why Cap gave Falcon the shield. They weren't even that close. Also, Falcon already uses the wings as a shield. Bucky should take the shield, imo.

You know what, that was a bit harsh. I actually do like Falcon, as Falcon, as a counterpart to Cap but not as Cap. Everything aside, he just doesn’t have the prowess. He’s another Hawkeye/Black widow situation.

Hulk is better in that video then Endgame. :lol

Yeah, the only thing I can think of is simply the fact that Bucky is still the Winter Soldier in the eyes of the US Govt and doubt he’d be sanctioned as Cap, but then again, BW was able to make it work so who knows. Also, seems Hawkeye is in the same type of situation after the whole Ronin thing - which was very disappointing how short that was.

I will say that I did feel exactly like that after the First Avengers film..

This movie brought up the same feelings when the film did the single take shot at the beginning of the battle.

I think having him team up with WS is a great idea.. But yeah. He is not worthy of the Shield.

Yeah same here. That’s really the only show on the streaming lineup that sounds interesting to me. Oh well, Cap had a great run.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I think what made it worse for me is that they had scenes that should’ve lead to him raging out like the Ancient One separating Banner from Hulk (just like Enchantress did which led to him raging out), BW death and the real BIG ONE putting on the freaking IG and SPECIFICALLY calling out its gamma properties and yet it still didn’t lead to a rage!!

Screw these spoiler tags i’m done lol

He's already been infused with gamma radiation, so I didn't think getting hit with more would cause him to rage out. Didn't he realized that was what gave him the best chance to survive wielding the new gauntlet?

Actually In AOU he was calm for only a moment then saw the police and their guns and started to get angry again and then got knocked out..

Even before that Hulk Buster was on the winning end I think..

Would not have cared if he was allowed to do anything heroic at the end of the film.. Blah..

I really hate AOU. :lol

I will defer to you - I sense that you pay more attention to Hulk's scenes than I do (as in you have a detailed, frame by frame memory of them :lol).

Huh? When Thanos did the snap, his whole arm was fried too. I didn't know about Hulk's Wolverine-like healing abilities. Probably because he's always portrayed (on film anyway) as having skin that's almost impenetrable.

Capt America pushing Hulk down to the rest of 'em? Seriously?! Hehee, why that Emma frost can easily destroy him.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Well Khev I may enjoy it more with a second viewing but I don't think I will ever think its a "great" Film.

Imagine if you will Khev
That Cap is reduced to just being window dressing. He has some nice lines but Tony Stark gets all the cool actions scenes, gets to use Thor's Hammer, and get to Utter the line "Avengers Assemble" Then lives happily ever after with his wife. All the while Cap is just seen running around in the background and seen at Black Widows funeral at the end.. :lol Even if Cap still gets to say "avengers assemble" how much of that sticks with you if immediately afterwards he is only scene running for the rest of the film :lol

It would still be a good film.. But how great would it be.. Now I get it.. Your a Cap fan so this film was made for you.. But if Cap was reduced to not doing much and the film was the same movie only IM gets all the glory or Even Hulk.. Would you still think its great.. Or would you be more likely to be recognize its flaws? . Like a pretty blah 2nd act

I wont Lie.. Give me some Fan Service Hulk moments and the film is better.. Give him all the glory like Cap and I am grinning from ear to ear.

I don't think the comparison to the first Avengers film for Cap is even close.. I would kill for Hulk to have been that involved.. And IMO he was just as goofy looking as Prof Hulk as Cap was in his cowl.. Cap has some Great moments in Avengers though.. More then just some lines.

Again I am not saying that Endgame is a bad movie.. I hope to enjoy it more when I think of it as a Final Captain America movie since really that is what it is.. Hell other then the Final snap, I don't even think Tony was given that much to do. This was Caps movie 100%

So its perfectly understandable why its a great movie for you :)

In all honesty I wish the Hulk was not in the film.. I would have liked it more for sure.

Okay I get it, it's Christmas morning and I got the new bike, computer, pony, robot servant, etc., and I'm trying to convince you that your coal can at least keep you warm at night, lol. So I realize I'm not in the best position to help you see the bright side. ;)I get that you feel that Hulk's background status is a tragedy after the buildup of IW but I don't think that he was in any way "lame." He was just simply there for the most part. Whereas Cap in the original Avengers was not only less than stellar in the action scenes but he was also the butt of a few jokes and of course famously looked like a dork with the dumb cowl to boot.

So that's where I'm hoping that the sting might be lessened for you. Hulk wasn't lame or embarrassing in AEG, just not very prominent.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Time travel it ruins most movies.

Talk about fan service this was excessive this movie was so bloated. Really could have trimed it down considerably and the dues ex machina is used ridiculously
