Thanos didn't use the power stone to beat Hulk though. The stones glow when being used. That was all Thanos. He beat Hulk.

Maybe he didn't bother to turn on the light. Those HT switches are always such a PITA to access. Oh wait, this is the movie thread...

But whenever he fastens a stone to the gauntlet it seems that new power courses through him giving him some sort of boost.

Thanos works out and eats healthy meals, as shown in the beginning of End Game. He's all natural.

Has that ever been confirmed? I always wondered if he was feeling a boost or reacting to the stone taking a physical toll on his body.

He died for one reason and one reason only: Disney was tired of paying him what he's worth. Same with Evans.

So now we get the exciting ALL NEW ALL DIFFERENT Phase 4 Marvel, featuring the Avengers led by Captain Resting B. Face, and Girl Iron Man, and Girl Hawkeye, probably Squirrel Girl, cause why not? Hey all the best to em. Good luck with that plan. I know the story ended for me, and I'm satisfied although I still hated seeing the best onscreen super hero of all time die. But the best stories have beginnings, middles, and ends.

The MCU is over. I hope you guys enjoy phase 4 but I'll just be rewatching the ones I liked.

I'm a grumpy old man and we used to only get one super hero movie a decade and you could see the wires and it all looked fake BUT THAT'S THE WAY WE LIKE IT!!!

Interestingly, Tony almost died fighting Thanos in IW, and Thanos said to him, "I hope they remember you." It came down to DR Strange stopping Thanos, almost delaying the inevitable, just like Thanos called himself several times. The final fight in EG had a similar outcome, but this time Strange didn't interfere.

Regarding that, I'm curious why iron man had to use all the stones to eradicate Thanos's remaining army. First, the good guys were winning anyway, with their only hope being access to the gauntlet. Couldn't Tony just teleport himself away? Or use the power stone alone to wipe out Thanos et al.? Or freeze time for a minute?

Cost was damn high, with Tony killing himself. A charitable view might say he didn't have time to consider this, but... Tony Stark, smartest man on earth.

It was good narratively but doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Again, ANYTHING, that was changed....anything....would have resulted in failure.

Freeze time? Somehow that would have gone wrong.

Teleport himself? Maybe he screws up and lands in a black hole....

Doesn’t matter....
The point was Dr Strange saw all the possibilities you can come up with, plus many more, and for one reason or another.....they do not work out...leading to failure.

Thanos from IW remains undefeated. The Avengers never beat THAT Thanos. They beat a different Thanos from a different reality/timeline/whatever you call it. So don't sell your HT doll just because there's a new one.

Or it could simply be the actors themselves no longer want to play the role. Downey himself said that there's a limit to how long he thinks he should play the character due to his age. Evans also talked about wanting to do other projects after.

Money could be a factor but I doubt that was the only or even the main factor.

Honestly 1.2billion is a huge stretch considering how horrible hollywood has being doing and knowing tickets are cheaper than they were decades ago, the pressure is on disney to keep up the momentum.
