Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Until they take Game of Thrones to the big screen lol.

From what I hear GOT has jumped the shark so I don't know about that. But hey at least the two guys blamed for running the show into the ground are plotting the next 10 years of SW films with Rian Johnson! :yess:

lol

(and that's actually not a joke, look it up, lol)

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

As someone whose never read these comics, I have to say, I don't feel like the stakes can ever be as high again in an Avengers movie, as they are in IW/EG. I hope in any future avengers movies, that they don't try and outdo this one, just let the merits of the story play out in its own right.

Marvel really screwed themselves using the IG snap lol

Holy crap. :lol

a-dev800 to jye: “Why do you cry?”

:lol :lol

Oscar worthy experiment.

True his "Best Supporting Villain Who Blows Up An Empty Hospital And Burns Some Money" Oscar was well deserved. ;)

In all seriousness there's no denying that Ledger's acting was stellar, truly off the charts. That said as of this fall he might not even be the best acted "Joker" let alone villain...we'll see.

It definitely hasn't, GOT is as awesome as ever.

We seem to live in a world now, made up mostly of adults with infant minds, if something doesn't happen exactly as they want it to, they throw tantrums.

I've read the books and seen every episode at least 3 times, I'm very happy with where this season is going. As soon as I saw the episode run times, I knew the big bad would meet his end when he did. For the sake of the story, it had to.

True, if he had killed trillions of faceless people we never saw or had any attachment to, only to have the ones we care about come back a year later, he might have never won the Oscar. ;)

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I know I'm in the minority, but I truly disliked this film immensely. Endgame made me come to the harsh realization that I actually truly do not like the MCU. I was pretty gung-ho about the films and have watched them all, but my utter disappointment in this film made me reflect back on all the films as a totality. I came to the ultimate realization that I only actually liked 6 of them (CA:TFA, GoTG 1, IM1, IW, Ragnarok and SM:Homecoming) and tolerated 3 others (IM3, GoTG2 and DS). The rest I thought were just mediocre and held no rewatch value (if I even enjoyed them at all to begin with). Guess I was clinging on to them as a huge comic fan in my youth. It's awesome that this series has connected to so many people, I just unfortunately can no longer count myself among them. I'll catch GoTG3 and hope it's better than the last and my hopes are still high for FFH.

Phoenix is using his normal voice, that already puts him a notch below Ledger and Nicholson (he's got a great natural voice). :chase

Look Khev, we can be friends again!! Let's get him. :monkey3

Everyone's entitled to his/her opinion, but I'm always amazed by these posts. It's like jumping in shark infested waters & using the chum bucket as your flotation device. :slap

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Man the CGI in that thumbnail is insane. It truly looks like a photoreal hulked out Ruffalo.

I know right... It is some very impressive CGI for sure.

I do hope you get your WWH movie though. Now I read all of Planet Hulk but only skimmed the TPB of WWH. I know he comes to wreak havoc on earth after his wife blows up on S'Kar. Does he actually kill anyone in his rage?

I don't need a WWH movie.. I honestly don't think they can pull it off. Not in a way that wouldn't end up disappointing me anyways.

Hulk kills nobody. He sets it up for the heroes to kill themselves in a gladiator battle. Of course he does not allow for it to get to that point.

Its actually not that great a story when compared to Planet Hulk... The WWH vs X-Men series was great though. Hulk goes to Professor X's school to see if he was in on the plan to shoot him to space and ends up fighting a ton of mutants at the school.

Anyways.. Like I said I don't need a WWH movie.. I would just like a decent new solo movie or one were he really gets to play an important role and not just be a punching bag.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

They cant make solo Hulk movies, so he will continue to be side character, which Im OK with because I dont find Banner or Hulk very compelling protagonists. I like the 70s show, but that’s different.

Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Did anyone notice that Hulk seemed a bit smaller in this movie? Like they merged the size of Banner and Hulk and ended up somewhere in the middle?

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

It's a Professor Hulk. Yet he is strong enough to use that replica gauntlet and survive. And more of a strong Banner at the very end where everyone comes to pay respect to Stark.
