Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

If you were to tell me back in 1983 that
that the death of Tony Stark would be more meaningful and better executed than the death of
both Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, I would have thought you were smoking some of that new Crack Cocaine.

Good point. Even ten years ago I would have never thought a company could pull off a series of related films on this scale as effectively as what Marvel has done. They’re truly unmatched in that department. The fact that Marvel were the ones to do it is even more unbelievable. I remember back in the 90s they had filed bankruptcy and DC was way ahead of them in the movie department. But the tables have definitely turned. Back in the 80s and 90s when I was following all of these characters in comics this whole thing would have felt like a pipe dream.

Wife's verdict in on Endgame...

It was ok.

The movie's doomed!

Makes me feel pretty good I managed to impress her enough to marry me.

:lol

My ex thought it was "really good" but was bummed that Hawkeye and BW didn't kiss before she died, lol.

Her favorite character must have been Hulk then.

:lol

I didn’t notice this someone else did but Maw holdng his stomach before dusting was a mirror to Parker holding his stomach before dusting and Proxima holding Corvus on the ground is a mirror of SW holding Vision.

Cool.

Stark watched Parker die.

Parker watched Stark die.

Boy is the MCU full of humor!

And Thanos always finds a place to sit. :lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

My man lol

Speaking of sitting you guys should do it because check this out:

Go back to the hellicarrier argument in A1.

Oh man oh man.

Rogers to Stark:

“You’re not the guy to make the sacrifice play!”

Stark to Cap:

“Everything special about you came out of a bottle!”

The video i’m watching explains that both were eventually proven wrong.

Stark DOES make the ultimate sacrifice play!

Cap becomes worthy with the natural ability to wield Mjolnir!

I have goosebumps fellas!

Khev is going to :thud:

JAWS is eventually going to love EG! :lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I'm sure it all comes full circle in EG. However, the payoff to those lines was in the Avengers 1 film. Tony almost killed himself taking the missile to space as the portal was closing, proving that he was willing to make the "sacrifice play." And Cap, he's the one that talked to Tony after Coulson died, got the team together, led the team, proving that he was the rightful leader of the Avengers and more than super serum. Neither one needed to prove anything to us, since we knew their background, but in the movie, both Cap and Stark were wrong about each other.

lol Khev. :yess:

True very true but then came their split followed by death and destruction that made NYC getting nuked look like nothing so now the sacrifice and leadership had to be earned again this time under greater threat and stress no longer isolated to NYC.

Stark wanted to quit, be regulated and give up control to a dome of AI armor.

Rogers trust of US authority and leadership was sent into hiding.

The stakes grew 100 fold which rippled into their own difficulties.

They had to work harder to arrive at Stark’s sacrifice and Cap’s natural nobility.

Widow found a family.

Hawkeye got his family back.

Banner found peace and balance with Hulk.

Thor got fat, and mastered online video games. :lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Christ it continues:

Stark talking to his helmet (at Pepper) in space the helmet is burned and scarred on the same side as his lethal injury!

Now some are already saying when Stark passed out on the ship and saw the light from CM (an angel) waking him up it was foreshadowing his passage into the afterlife, doh!

Stark also mirrored his fathers video message from IM2.

Remember IW when Drax was comparing fat Quill to in great shape Thor well the reverse happened in EG!

Stark started as a selfish person and ended with a selfless act.

Cap started as a selfless person and ended with enlightened self interest.

Amazing stuff.

Hold me Clown.......or Sass lol

Just came back from my second viewing. Seeing Black Widows smile before the mission and as they are flying through space seems so sad knowing what happens to her.
