Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

They cant make solo Hulk movies, so he will continue to be side character, which Im OK with because I dont find Banner or Hulk very compelling protagonists. I like the 70s show, but that’s different.

There is some truth there.. Though I did enjoy TIH chase scene in Brazil where it was Banner on the run.

I think it can be done but you really have to get the Banner character right and something for him to play off of.

The first Avengers did it perfectly. Probably the only time I found Banner really interesting. Banner was perfect in that film IMO.

I am fine with him in other Characters film.. Just freaking let him be powerful Hulk and not punching bag Hulk. Avengers 1 was perfect.

Did anyone notice that Hulk seemed a bit smaller in this movie? Like they merged the size of Banner and Hulk and ended up somewhere in the middle?

Yes he is much smaller. In height and all around Muscle mass.

I know it’s joked about, but damn if that scene isn’t goosebump inducing. I don’t think they could have pulled off that whole “one time” aspect any better.

Yes, in a team movie like Avengers, there are plenty of characters for him to interact with and keep things interesting. However, in a solo film, they will always go with the relationship subplot with some chick we don't care about who is there to get rescued, calm Hulk down, and maybe have a sassy scene to show that she can take care of herself. Meanwhile, I'm just waiting for Banner to go away and for Hulk to fight someone and break some stuff. Enough with the military too. It's why I would much rather see a proffesor Hulk that can turn full Hulk. At least proffesor Hulk is more interesting to look at and he's still strong, so he can do cool stuff, unlike regular Banner.

Dr. Strange told Tony that he couldn't tell him anything or else it wouldn't happen, so he kind of took a risk by giving Tony a signal, because if that had been me instead of Tony, and Strange signals me to go kill myself for humanity, you would all be in deep trouble. :lol

If you were to tell me back in 2008 that the death of Tony Stark would be more meaningful and better executed than the death of Superman, I would have said, "That nobody? His movie is cool, but come on now...he's a C list hero." :lol

Or in 2010 that that new Black Widow chick's death would be more impactful, lol.

Also regardless of where you think Thanos stands against the top villains of all time up until 2018 the MCU was plagued for an entire decade as being the superhero franchise "with the weak villains." That has forever been remedied.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I still think Superman’s death in BvS was pretty impactful because of the circumstances surrounding it. Despite the DCEU haters, I think BvSUE was one of the best modern day superhero films, but I can’t deny Stark’s death and character arc was perfectly executed. Because RDJ’s last words as the character couldn’t have been more true: “I am Iron Man.” He was the personification of that character.

I have to admit that Brie has a great gift of a cute smirk during character introductions.

With Stan in her movie and with Parker in EG, very cool look.

I also absolutely looked her sultry confident stare back at Thanos.

If you were to tell me back in 1983 that

both Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, I would have thought you were smoking some of that new Crack Cocaine.

Yup their villain redemption is the equivalent of the PT ending with ROTS being as good as ESB :lol

Luke Skywalker I’d contest (kind of), but Han Solo I concur. :lol

Wife's verdict in on Endgame...

It was ok.

The movie's doomed!

Makes me feel pretty good I managed to impress her enough to marry me.
