Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Everyone here saying that The multiverse is not possible the russos have came out and said this:

“Loki, when he teleports away with the Space Stone, would create his own timeline,” joe said. “It gets very complicated, but it would be impossible for cap to rectify the timeline unless he found Loki. The minute that Loki does something as dramatic as take the Space Stone, he creates a branched reality”.

It was an interview through business insider!

Cap could have stopped the alternate timeline when he brought the scepter back to 2012 as long as he disguised himself and hid in the lobby in order to get between Loki and the tesseract when it fell. Is that any more far fetched than him somehow turning the stone back into a cube or injecting Jane with the Ether (also a stone) lol.

I wonder if that's an issue for the main timeline though? It wouldn't affect the main timeline after all, and Loki's timeline has its own Avengers. I wonder if Cap would even bother...

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I thought it was more or less confirmed that the Loki show on Disney+ is going to be a prequel with a completely different actor. Although I would prefer to see what he did with the Tesseract, as opposed to a prequel, since the show will presumably not feature Hiddleston.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Here's a description from the Disney+ thread:

- 'LOKI': Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk and Black Mirror) has been cast as Young Loki. The show will heavily feature flashbacks to Loki's childhood. We´re also getting younger Thor cameo. Karnilla and Ulik as villains.

I guess the description doesn't eliminate the possibility of Hiddleston coming back since it states that the show will feature "flashbacks" of young Loki. If Hiddleston does come back, then my interest is greatly renewed.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Maybe the "adventures of teen Loki" was just a red herring to not spoil the twist that he was alive.

I'll admit, it seems a lot more interesting knowing that Tom is going to star instead of some random.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

After watching it three times now I actually don't think that the Hulk was jipped so much with regard to the action as much as he was denied a satisfying emotional payoff at the end. So many characters got closure with loved ones or emotional sendoffs (or both.) Rhodey, Peter, and Pepper saying goodbye to Tony. Thor reflecting on who he wants to be and embarking on a new journey with his new team. Wanda and Clint bonding over those they lost. Clint, Scott, and T'Challa gathering together with their respective families. Cap's last moments with Bucky and Sam and of course Peggy. The GotG heading off in search of adventure. Valkyrie being anointed ruler of "New Asgard." Tony's big hologram speech. Even Happy gets a moment to bond with the daughter of his previous boss.

What did Banner get? He got to play DJ to Cap's sendoff. Nothing of his own. And I don't even think it would have taken much. General Ross was right there at the funeral. They could have done a quick shot of him saluting Banner or at the very least nodding in respect and appreciation. Hulk's biggest critic validating his ultimate heroism. At first I thought maybe they didn't want to interrupt the perfect flow of the funeral but they segued smoothly enough into Clint and Wanda having a moment by the lake so I'm sure they could have worked in Ross and Banner just as well.

That's why I don't really feel like Bucky or the GotG or BP got snubbed in the final battle, because they all got little character specific bookend scenes. Almost everyone did except Banner. That's what feels like a missed moment to me more than him raging on the battlefield.

Maybe Loki jumped into the alternate timeline Cap created with Peggy. :panic:

Maybe that was Loki dancing with Peggy at the end! :horror We already know from The Dark World that he has a mean Cap impersonation. If that actually turned out to be true (I know, it's not), that would be the ultimate fake out. Talk about mind fraks. :lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Ok just got back from my 2nd viewing.. Now that I know that the Hulk was not in this film I was able to sit back and enjoy the film for what it was.

I did enjoy it much more.

Did I like it as much as some on here? Especially Jye and Khev?

Not at all :lol

But that does not mean I did not like it a lot. Hell I would call it officially a great Marvel movie.. For me its in the ranks of IM, TIH, AM, TFA and GOTG. Pretty good company.. I dont know if it stays there as I still have issues with the overall story but I did find it much quicker paced and enjoyable the 2nd time through.

My bigest issue other then lack of Hulk... And honestly that did not bother me this time..

I like a bit more SuperHeroing in my Superhero movie.

I timed it and it takes 2 hours and 15 min to get to the 3 on 1 battle with Thanos. From there to Tony's death is 20 min. and then a 20 min epiloge. Our heros overall.. They just dont get to do enough cool stuff.

What would I change to remedy that? Two things.

1. HAve more fun with the NY scene. Have the characters have to participate a bit more in the battle if NY. Have future cap fighting alongside past BW and have her notice something is off.. Have Antman somehow fighting alongside Hulk or just have the future Heros have to be part of the battle in some way.. It just would have made a nice action moment in a movie that is actually lacking some superhero action.

2. I know Khev wont agree but.... After Thor talks to his mom figure out a way to go with the original script and have Future Thor run into past thor and have them throw down.. It would have been much more interesting and funny.. With young Thor making fun of Fat Thor. Both could be fighting over the posession of the Hammer.. Just much more intersting.

In fact have any of the other big name Avengers fight and it would have been visual interesting and more fun.

I am not saying the cap scene was bad.. It just was.. well.. OK..

Anyways I changed up my score in my Countdown to Avengers and ranked it much higher.

Hope to get some more Hulk in the future.
