Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

:lol :lol

Not first draft and cut but actually filmed “at night” and left on the editing room floor.

Clint’s family dusting was originally going to end IW!

Smart to move it to open EG.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Yeah it really worked to open with Clint's family and take us right back to the feeling of watching characters get dusted at the end of IW before then watching the heroes set off to make things right.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

More holy crap!

It’s all coming out now so yes Hulk bursting out of the Hulkbuster in IW is not a myth it was actually filmed and shown to test audience.

Are you ready, the Hulk that burst out was professor Hulk and BW is first to see him!

He was going to be introduced in IW not EG!

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I guess it’s why I don’t own The Raid but I do Dredd.

The Raid is more technically proficient but all that technical precision is oh sooo boring to me.

Coming from a father who’s son better be technically proficient in his martial arts training 6 days a week lol

I’ll restart 2 once I have more scotch lol

Wrong!

Oh man.. IDK what to say.. The Raid? Did you just diss The Raid?? Them fighting words :lol

I like Dredd but man I don't think it has anything on The Raid.

I did see The Raid before Dredd.. So that could have a little to do with it.

I like seeing original action.. There is not a ton out there anymore. Asian cinema usually can take it too the next level but much of it bores me also..

Not so with both Raid movies. The director took Asian action film to another level In those film IMO.

I saw Dredd first. Still liked The Raid a lot more.

Oh don’t get me wrong those scenes in those Raid movies are absolutely off the charts insane like Jackie Chan on cocaine steroids lol how did nobody die making them is what baffles me the most lol

Jye - Nice attempted save, but too little, too late. :lol

Jaws and Khev are so right - The Raid is the most original, relentless and brutal martial arts/action movie that's come out since I don't know when. It's in a category by itself as far as I'm concerned.

I saw JW3 today and while I enjoyed it for the most part, it pales in comparison to The Raid. It has some creative moments and it definitely is brutal, but the director obviously has confused the word relentless with those of prolonged and repetitive - e.g., he'll have JW kill 50 guys in a shootout when 25 will do. The very epitome of overkill (pun intended). I actually found myself getting distracted several times, anxious for him to finish killing people so the razor thin plot could progress to the next scene. :lol That never happened when watching The Raid. Speaking of which, IMO the best part of the movie was a late scene involving the guys from The Raid, both in terms of action and their brief banter during it.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Hmm well Hulk fans would that have been acceptable, lol. Seems like you wanted A1 Hulk and not the Professor.

Writers also said that CW always had Zemo framing Bucky but that they knew that that alone was lacking until Feige let them bring most of the other Avengers into the mix.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Holy crap the writers just confirmed that a Hulk “hero” scene was filmed and cut!

Poor Jaws

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I just watched part of that JW3 scene vs the Raid guys.

Gorgeous setting but again boring super technical martial arts lol

I enjoyed the Raid but I certainly wouldn’t want to rewatch it I don’t care how ground breaking the martial arts were.

Point taken, but that's where the originality part comes in - nothing ground breaking is as impressive on its next viewing. The Matrix didn't look nearly as good on DVD as it did the first time we saw it in theatres. But trust me, you'd enjoy rewatching The Raid more so than JW3. :lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Second time, still Awesome!

Hulk bothered me less this time. I also feel like the emotional scenes affected me more this time

Can't wait for Video.

Holy crap the writers just confirmed that a Hulk “hero” scene was filmed and cut!

For which movie.. IW or EG.. I thought we knew about IW and the Hulkbuster suit.

Oh snap the Blu-ray release date just went on JAWS' calendar, lol.

:lol

SO is that the scene we are talking about.. No hero scene in EG...

:lol I love that they are in it.. I actually think they will be in part 4 and maybe even on JW's side.

Having said that.. In all honesty that was not a fav action scene of mine. I think they are both too good and they had to tone it down for KR

Jye…

Ive never asked this of you before... I have no tongue for it..

No one not even you will know if JW3 is good or bad.

All that matters is that JW was one against many. That's what's important.

This movie should please you Jye.

So grant me this one request..

Grant me the promise you will go see JW3

and if you do not listen...

Then the Hell with you.

Yes, the Russos effectively tugged at my heartstrings with all those scenes, even during my last (4th) viewing. Loved this movie.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

:rock :rock

I admit I was bummed to not have my opening night crowd cheering through all the action when I saw it again but the emotional scenes are absolute powerhouses that just don't let up.
