Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I can just imagine James Cameron wearing his Aliens armor, sitting, with his double sided sword and helmet next to him, waiting as IM, Cap, and Thor slowly walk up to him.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Since lots of people claim that Disney inflates their numbers by buying up tickets to empty theaters, time to put this plan to action. $100 million is nothing to them then, right? Especially for bragging rights to the #1 movie of all time. Hell, make it cross the $3 billion threshold then

I’ve never been in a not full Marvel showing

I still think it will be a photo finish but my gut tells me EG will just fall slightly short.

For me if it’s going to be that close then I would prefer that it just beats it.

Very sad the Endgame couldn't muster the power after that amazing opening.

That said, I think Endgame fell short in many ways, not just BO.

I'd still prefer it to be #1 at the boxoffice rather than Avatar though. But now, even if it mysteriously surpassed Avatar, Cameron would simply re-release Avatar as a segue to his new films and it would easily pass EG again. So no matter what, EG won't beat the blue cat indians.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Since Disney owns 20th century fox and therefore the distribution rights to Avatar would it not be up to them to rerelease Avatar? Disney suits could just say no and have endgame remain on top even if it’s just by a few cents.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Don't know why everyone is counting out Endgame already. Its only been in theatres a little over a month. It will be playing for awhile. At this point its less of a sprint and more of a marathon. Avatar was out for many months to reach the numbers it did; this will be no different.

Difference is Avatar had almost no competition. That damn movie was #1 for like 7 weeks straight lol. All avengers movies got 20+ weeks and black panther 25w. Only way I see them making that extra 75m is if they add more screens later

When Doctor Strange brought out all the heroes, and he says "Is that everyone?", I wanted another portal to open and Daredevil, Punisher, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, the NF characters to show up. It would've been epic to me, but alas.

I thought Cameron owns Avatar?

If CM or SW both who were created by infinity stones and Thor couldn’t do it then Cap is out of the question, no way.

Only gamma boy could handle the absorption of energy.

Thor literally survives in space without a suit for who knows how long, he can absorb gamma radiation handsdown if he can take the rays of a dying star

True, he tanked direct exposure to a neutron star in hard vacuum, but apparently, all the beer and nachos afterwards left him too outta shape to suck back some Infinity Gauntlet. :lol

I have explained this in previous posts already but I don’t mind doing it again let’s not forget that a little neutron star is nothing....NOTHING compared to the combined power of the stones which created the entire cosmos they possess an infinite amount of power hence the name.

Thanos was so angry in EG that he was literally going to recreate the cosmos as in reboot creation with the stones he was way past just erasing half!

But but but but how does the power of a neutron star managed to absorb the full might of all the stones when thor threw stormbreaker towards thanos chest at the end of IW?

I kind of feel they are just like a genie, wish it and it will happen
