Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

But but but but how does the power of a neutron star managed to absorb the full might of all the stones when thor threw stormbreaker towards thanos chest at the end of IW?

I kind of feel they are just like a genie, wish it and it will happen

I raise you one Hela breaking Mjolnir with one hand lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I have explained this in previous posts already but I don’t mind doing it again let’s not forget that a little neutron star is nothing....NOTHING compared to the combined power of the stones which created the entire cosmos they possess an infinite amount of power hence the name.

Thanos was so angry in EG that he was literally going to recreate the cosmos as in reboot creation with the stones he was way past just erasing half!

Well, as we've seen, power levels in the MCU are plot dependent. :lecture

They are really going all over the place, huh?

Dark Avengers is something a lot of fans want but the comic arc had characters that were still on active duty(Cap and Stark)
Stark being pivotal to counter Osborn who wears his stolen armor. Fan casting seem to favor Matt McConaghy as Osborn and will they introduce Supreme?
Its climactic battle was fairly close to the final showdown in Endgame in scope.

If true, I can see the reasoning behind "mini-arcs".

  • The first decade has firmly established an interconnected universe, audience now buys into winged horses fighting space aliens.
  • Opportunities to experiment and tell many different stories in different styles.
  • Risk is distributed.
  • No pressure to do it all over again (unlikely prospect given audiences tastes and trends inevitably changing).

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Very sad the Endgame couldn't muster the power after that amazing opening.

That said, I think Endgame fell short in many ways, not just BO.

I'd still prefer it to be #1 at the boxoffice rather than Avatar though. But now, even if it mysteriously surpassed Avatar, Cameron would simply re-release Avatar as a segue to his new films and it would easily pass EG again. So no matter what, EG won't beat the blue cat indians.

Agreed- EG was good but not great- I liked IW far better. Yeah glad it's going to hopefully topple Avatar

Power level inconsistencies:

Which is fittingly, right in line with the way it is in the comics.:lol

True, he tanked direct exposure to a neutron star in hard vacuum, but apparently, all the beer and nachos afterwards left him too outta shape to suck back some Infinity Gauntlet. [emoji38]
Really. It was a huge hole in the story for me. If hulk stood in the wake of a star, I don't care what kind of regenerating factor he has, he'd be obliterated. They just didn't want Thor to have a messed up arm and need a new story arc for hulk.

Well unless Hulk is a lefty he might get his rage back with No Black Widow to hide the zucchini

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Of course Hulk would’ve been able to take a hit from the star but that’s not the point regarding the snap the team was not going to let Thor do it no matter what.

They witnessed Thor murder a prisoner in cold blood so hey let’s give that unstable god the glove I don’t think so.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

They also made mention of Thor's current condition (overweight and "veins filled with with cheese whiz") as making it too risky to try and put the glove on. Whether or not he would have been up to it at peak strength is another matter and something we'll never know.
