Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Yikes, looks like the MCU might be going full retard after EG:

[...]

Much as a South Asian superhero would be cool to see on film, I think Ms. Marvel is a kinda lame character -- but I'm not her target demographic. I could see Kaling in an MCU film but she's the wrong age and type for Kamala herself unless they really *stretch* (this stuff writes itself) the adaptation.

But this brings up an interesting premise. Now that the core Marvel properties have been used to entrench the universe in the general public's mind, they're presumably free to branch out and offer films and characters that are not necessarily targeted at people like me. If done well, nothing wrong with that. It's not as if they're going to forego the mainstream characters and stories completely.

It was pretty much inevitable (to use one of Thanos' favorite words).

Right now a good MCU version of Doctor Doom and bringing in evil Skrulls are the only reasons I have to be invested in Phase 4 (I'm in the minority who always found X-Men and the F4 themselves rather boring in comics).

Man the anticipation build up to the Avengers Assemble videogame reveal tonight at E3 is pretty damn impressive amazing what the Avengers name now does to fan excitement levels. Reports at the convention center are saying everyone is talking just about that.

Man can’t wait to see Cap in action going to be sick.

Probably going to be the biggest selling game of the year.

Watching the live presentation literally every chat line says “Avengers when!”

:rotfl

I hope the cast comes out on stage like Keanu did for his game.

Speaking of cast did anyone watch Favreau’s “Chef” show on Netflix were he, Feige, RDJ, Russos, Holland are discussing Batman Begins over a large dinner lol

The new Chef show on Netflix with Jon Favreau and some famous Korean Kogi chef from LA.

First few episodes had the cast from the MCU lots of fun banter.

Um, did you listen to the clip and/or read the article? Kaling talked about how excited she is by the character and how she told Marvel she'd help in any way she could to bring the character to either the big screen or Disney's streaming platform. But no one mentioned the idea of Kaling actually portraying her - she even says Kamala should probably be played by an unknown.

Like it but why do the outfits look odd? Didn’t Enix get the rights to the MCU :dunno

This is its own thing. Like Spiderman PS4 or the Arkham series.

Anyway I like the Hulk and Iron Man. Completely hating the new looks for Thor and Cap.

:rock Holy Crap :rock

As many have said the designs look odd but the game looks great. Spidey PS4 is the second best superhero game I’ve ever played with Arkham city beating it just by a little due to its atmospheric setting. But marvel is pulling no punches and is attacking the gaming world now that it has the movie world in a vice grip. I can’t wait to see what’s next

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Apparently people are saying the graphics are ps3 level and everyone is ugly. The gaming community for ya

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

:lol :lol :lol

While it’s certainly not Ghost of Tsushima levels of graphics fidelity I think it looks serviceable enough considering the fast paced destructive action on display.

Good enough for a $250 console.

I just hope that it plays like that classic Hulk Ultimate Destruction game mixed with the amazing Wolverine Origins game.

LOL — yep. I’m sometimes guilty of skimming links too fast. I post a lot here these days because I’ve been working a lot from my computer at home. When I’m really into the task I can miss — you know — the whole point of the article. [emoji38]

I did go back and read it again, though.

:lol - I figured as much. But I think we're all guilty of skimming stuff these days - between e-mails, articles, posts, etc., it's impossible to read everything. The only reason I watched it was when I read your post I thought, no way Marvel gets her casting that wrong. 20 years ago she might have been a good choice, but not now.

Yeah, I originally thought it was clickbait, taking her out of context. It *was* a little clickbait-y but it was recounting a conversation that indicates maybe Kaling has more clout and connections these days than I remember.

Hell, I’ll take that X-Men RPG
