Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

They say one of the worst temperaments of male actors in the business makes Bale look like a sweet heart lol

Isn't that what Grace says... But she has really got it in for him for reasons unknown and constantly trashes him in her videos even if they are unrelated to Cavill, DC, superheroes and ... the movie business. I've not heard it from anyone else though so if you have sources I would be interested because if Grace is right about this maybe she is right about other things too oh gawd!

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I don’t follow the Oscars or any awards very closely.

The whole thing kinda goes over my head most of the time.

Mel Gibson is a lunatic, turns out. But I always did love Braveheart. Haven’t seen it in years.

I’m told the battle scenes weren’t historically accurate in terms of tactics. Which I guess makes sense given the need for a visceral cinematic experience. Haven’t researched medieval warfare in ages though. Not sure who’s right at this point.

I’m sure BH is 98% historically inaccurate but it sure is fun to watch lol

Maybe he turned her down. Might not like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I am sure I have many Oscar winners in my collection. I don't keep up with that though. I buy what I enjoy and really don't care about the snobs. Braveheart is awesome and so is Unforgiven. I saw that and Batman Returns the same summer and loved them both.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Yeah I remember Batman Returns being the film that debuted Dolby Digital and the Unforgiven trailer always played right before it.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I finally finished re-watching Civil War as I was curious to see if my opinion on it would be different after EG and I guess the third time was the charm for me - I really warmed up to it with a third viewing. It's still not one of my favorites but there's just too much satisfying payoff from previous installments and other seeds planted for future films to totally write it off. I had forgotten about the awesome Black Panther teaser during the mid-credits. Even the Raft scenes and Sokovia Accords meetings went by faster than I remembered from my initial theater viewing, and any lack of focus on Cap was more or less made up for with the satisfying conclusion to his arc in EG. I even disliked Zemo less and of course T'Challa was the real star of the show and always has been IMO.

Just another reason to love EG - it made me able to find more enjoyment in CW. :)

A step closer to the correct opinion :monkey3

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

This is happening to me with just about every MCU film I've seen since Endgame (which I caught again this weekend), and for the most part, I loved them all before.
On a related note, I was really surprised how emotional the film was for me this time. I'm always moved by it, but I didn't expect this type of reaction on my 10th viewing. It's still amazing.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

That’s so close it hurts.

Although it’s more than what Godzilla and DP opened with lol

:lol

That's the frustrating part - it sucks if it ends up only a few million behind it. I'd rather it have been a couple of 100 million back rather than to get this close and then fail.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I figure you marvels would just buy random tickets without going to the show lolol, decreased screens, all the hype towards toy story 4 will give it less of a chance to topple it, boohoo

Yo Ottoman, rewatching Batman Forever it was ahead of its time, you see a young Favreu being bruce wayne’s assitance, lololol oh the “iron”y

I love the 4k hdr cuts of the original four batmans, batman and robin use the same mcu formula that didn’t work back then but works now
