Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I have never bought any movie in digital format only. :yess:

Disc or GTFO.

I couldn’t handle having a movie being in my digital library but not on my shelf.....gives me shivers just thinking about it lol

:lol

I am the same way.. Though I did break down and buy "Dragonslayer" and guilty pleasure "The Black Hole" on Digital since they seem to refuse to sell those on Blu ray for whatever reason.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Digital Hd will be released for this july 30th while the physical platform will be August 13th, if you guys want to bring it home!

Man I wish I cared more.

Even though I enjoyed this film much more the 2nd time its a film that loses me after I think about it. I want to like it and I think that was a big help for me with my 2nd viewing.

But when I think about the film and its story and things (other then Hulk) that I have issues with it really brings it down to OK Marvel and not Great Marvel. Granted A better done Hulk would have made up for those things.. But now those issues I have are just magnified. :(

I usually look forward to most all Marvel Blu Ray releases. This one has me slightly more excited then I was when Dr. Strange and Ant Man and The Wasp got released :lol

I envy those of you that got what they wanted out of this film.

Well that's actually a logical reason if it's not available on disc then by all means "I will do what I must Obi-Wan"

Cap was so off the charts bad ass in EG that people who normally don't buy 1/4 statues or 1/6 HT for cost or space reasons are buying IS and HT Cap like mad lol

Yeah but it still drives me crazy that I had to do it. :lol

If only the film was called Captain America: Endgame, I could have enjoyed it so much more. :lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Yeah EG is kind of "IM/Thor/Cap: Endgame." The Holy Trinity if you will.

:chase

Universal buying the Hulk in order to make one lousy film forever tainted his involvement in the MCU. Thanks Ang Lee!

Thank God that Cap, IM, and Thor weren't considered high profile enough characters for studios to go after during the dark times of the late 90's/early 2000's (minus Blade, X-Men and Spider-Man of course.)

Yep, so true in fact Chinese President Xi Jinping just tweeted a screenshot of IS Cap with the caption "Ordered!"

lol

Man that's a great a point and hurts to read lol

One freaking movie :slap:

I can't wait for pics to start popping up of the homeless holding their IS Cap and smiling lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

One of my criticisms for this film is how dark/obscure the setting was for the final battle. I wanted to see all the bright colors from all the characters given the sheer number of them.

Well, I quite liked this shot :chase

Those actually are nice shots to be fair. But Elizabeth Olsen needs to be toward the front of any given group shot at all times.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Apparently a extended version of Avengers Endgame is coming out in the next week or so.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Just post-credits additions though.
Any word on how much material?

I wonder if it being post credits scenes, allows them to technically call it the same film, and is their sneaky way of beating Avatar

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Wasn't Avatar's re-release extended cut really substantial I honestly don't remember anymore but wasn't it like 30 minutes more!

If Disney is giving us just an extra few minutes of non narrative quality substance then this is just going to scream desperation to beat Avatar with little respect for the fans

Unless the footage is impactful for the narrative I wouldn't do this. What i'm getting at is it better not just be Howard the Duck farting lol

So now how does this impact the home release should we now wait to buy the extended cut because at the end of the day I don't care where they put the footage it is now technically an extended cut and that's the complete version I want for home.
