"Talking about his character's journey on screen, Starlin reflected that before Infinity War, he was just hopeful that it wouldn't be like Daredevil (the movie, not the TV show).
"I came in there thinking that as long as it wasn't bad, I was coming out a winner on it. As long as it wasn't the Daredevil movie, as long as it wasn't a lot of other terrible movies that have been made on comic book characters," he said.
Starlin added that co-director Joe Russo did worry him a little bit as he emailed him saying that they had cut the backstory for Thanos out of the movie.
"I had just made the mistake of watching Justice League about a week before [Infinity War] and all I could think of when he told me this was, 'That could easily come out to be like the Justice League movie'," he continued.
"I got inside and, like, two minutes, the Hulk didn't have to get his ass beat before I could say, 'Forget it Jim, this is gonna work out just fine'."
